ABOUT THE ROLE:

As part of our dynamic creative and social team, we are looking for a highly motivated Associate Creative Director who possesses a unique blend of creative vision, leadership skills, and design expertise. In this role, the Associate Creative Director will work closely with the VP of Creative Services and Strategies to assist with strategizing, conceptualizing, and overseeing the execution of our global B2B design and video efforts. They will also work closely with the Creative Design Lead to set the visual tone of voice and provide project management for ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cutting-edge design and a drive to push boundaries in the creative space while balancing strategic business goals.

Here's what you'll do day-to-day:

Roles and responsibilities will evolve and today include

  • Develop and design consistently superior visual and messaging content to support Whalar's B2B objectives through presentations, proposals, marketing plans, social content, and a variety of other formats and mediums
  • Assure that creative work meets company objectives, follows strategies aligned to the brief, and meets deadlines
  • Support the VP, Creative by assisting with the development of strategies and monitoring the performance of creative teams
  • Help creative teams overcome obstacles & work closely with the VP, Creative to offer innovative solutions
  • Show leadership in executing fresh, innovative concepts that enhance strategies and achieve company objectives
  • Guide teams through creative conception, execution, and delivery following departmental processes
  • Responsible for current knowledge and understanding of emerging trends and technologies and the ability to institute best practices for digital and traditional marketing products
  • Collaborate with other team members to identify questions and pertinent project information needed to execute assignments
  • Manage creative staff and freelancers to ensure their work meets the company standards, including the ability to clearly articulate feedback and provide constructive oversight that elevates the product
  • Mentor and inspire teams to perform at the maximum of their abilities and foster a reputation as problem solvers
  • Have the ability to work independently and collaboratively and to manage concurrent and competing projects successfully

Here's what we're looking for:

  • 5-7 years of experience in branding, B2B development, and design; must have strong social media work
  • 4+ years managing creative services
  • Superior strategic thinking and creative skills (written, visual, and conceptual)
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a MUST; Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite & Google Suite
  • Experience in B2B copywriting
  • Strong corporate identity and branding experience
  • Fluency in social media platforms and their unique dynamics, including extensive knowledge of user behaviors, platform features, and best practices
  • Broad understanding of typography, color theory, current design, and advertising trends
  • Knowledge of principles and best practices for all marketing channels
  • Outstanding leadership and organization skills
  • Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with accessible design is a plus

The salary range for this role is $105,000 - $115,000 + bonus + benefits
