You’ll be working with the Global Social Media and Content Marketing Team at Gen – we manage 6 global consumer brands and you’ll get to work on all of them. Our team manages Norton, Avast, LifeLock, Avira, CCleaner and AVG and we work across social media, content marketing, influencers and community building.
Here’s some of what your days will look like - assist with projects including:
- Social Media Governance including identifying Imposters
- Working with social media tool, such as Khoros
- Competitor Review
- Community engagement on social
- Monitor social channels and listening dashboards to help source UGC
- Review social copy and assets to ensure they meet brand standards
- Support the development of reports on social media activity and influencer engagements
- Participate in brainstorms to share ideas, define strategy and help bring them to life
- Keep up-to-date with the latest social media trends and provide insights on trending content
- Learn best practices for influencer marketing including identification, outreach, and execution
- Writing and editing blog posts
- Creating and tracking JIRA tickets for article edits and publishing
- Archiving blog posts in WMJ
- Trending news monitoring / Rapid response support
- Photo refresh project
- Product mention initiatives on the blog
What's included: In addition to your "day job" we will also provide a number of training sessions to help you bond as a team and grow your personal and professional skills - you'll have the opportunity to hear more about innovation in our industry as well as direct interaction with our executive leadership team.
What you need to have?
- Be heading into your Junior or Senior year in 2023
- Have a major focused on Communications, Marketing or Business
- Excellent at communicating through written, verbal and visual channels
- Extremely organized, results-driven, analytical, and eager to learn
- Understand social media and the fundamentals of key platforms like YouTube, Twitter, Linkedin, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
- Strong attention to detail and understand the importance of accuracy * Outstanding writing skills
- Creative experience is a plus for help edit and post TikTok videos We are looking for a select few to join us and if you think you're a good fit, please apply ASAP!
Our intern program runs for 10 weeks, starting at the end of May 2023 through early August 2023.
