Mattress Firm is excited to announce the opening of our Manager, Social Media opportunity! The Social Media Manager (remote) is an integral member of Mattress Firm's social media team, helping engage with our audience and amplify our brand across multiple social channels and brands. The Social Media Manager develops creative social campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement and consideration on channels like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn. The Social Media Manager works closely with the Director of Social and Social Media team to execute a multi-channel social strategy.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage best in class a multi-brand and multi-channel social strategy that ladders up to Mattress Firm’s brand strategy, operating an “always-on” and episodic campaign approach to address cross-function business needs.
  • Maintain multi-channel social editorial calendar. Work with team and cross-functional partners to create content for multiple social mediums and audiences – including corporate channels, influencers and executive thought leadership social opportunities.
  • Drive the creation of compelling thumb-stopping ‘social-first’ content that increases engagement with target audiences. This includes working and managing internal and external agency partnerships.
  • Oversee brand voice and day-to-day content across social media channels to ensure a consistent look and messaging accuracy.
  • Optimize performance of social posts and campaigns for awareness.
  • Concept and develop influencer campaign briefs to generate brand and product awareness. Works closely with Talent Relations Manager on bringing influencer campaigns to life.
  • Identify new testing opportunities to drive awareness and consideration.
  • Act as an internal subject matter expert that provides ongoing training for employees on social media best practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and strategies to help the overall Mattress Firm social experience.
  • Participate in editorial meetings by being the voice of social. Share and report data insights and content learnings.
  • Develop and distribute social reporting, highlighting key KPIs, campaign performance and sentiment.
  • Manage a team of freelancers and agency partners.
  • Maintain relationships and regular check-ins with platform partners to identify opportunities and new solutions for all brands.
  • Research and stay up to do on new social media trends, platforms and tools and provide a POV on how to incorporate into the current strategy.
  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contracts
  • Follow all company policies and execute company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation
  • Execute team member performance improvement plans, progressively discipline and terminations when appropriate per company policy

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Digital Marketing, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline. required

Professional Experience

  • 5+ Years Experience in social media (brand or retail experience preferred) required

Knowledge

  • General knowledge of social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube and TikTok.
  • Working knowledge and real-world experience in planning, managing and executing social media initiatives.
  • Knowledge of and experience with online marketing, influencer marketing and social media analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of retail industry preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with agency partners, co-workers and vendor partners.

Pay Range

$80,000 - $95,000
