Post Creative Strategist
Gallery Media Group is a rapidly growing digital media company whose mission is to “make positivity louder.” Its three key sectors include:
- Media + Publishing: PureWow, a women’s lifestyle brand; ONE37pm, a men’s lifestyle brand at the intersection of culture, music, NFTs and sports; and a collection of premium podcast shows that includes the GaryVee Audio Experience, Card Talk, In House with Arielle Charnas, Royally Obsessed and The CMO Podcast with Jim Stengel.
- Social Portfolio: 50+ owned + operated accounts across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest, including running TikTok accounts for brand partners
- Talent and Influencer Arm: Strategy and activations ranging from celebrity partnerships and stunts to year long ambassadorships and campaign work across platforms and categories
The Post Creative Strategist is deeply immersed in what’s going on in culture and consumer behavior. Using a combination of social listening, trend data and the reactions of a community to its messaging - they help to inform and shape strategic, creative and media strategy as well as derive insights about the performance and impact of marketing campaigns to help inform future activations.
The PCS will work with other members of the team to inform what cultural signals exist and what a brand should do with them. The PCS will be expected to provide suggestions and implications to their observations on consumers and culture. They will work closely with the reporting team to develop decks centered around actionable data and insights.
Responsibilities:
- Ongoing monitoring and recording of brand and influencer social channels, campaign components and other relevant online conversations as they relate to performance and insights (including proactive identification of conversations & communities strategically and creatively relevant for the brand).
- Continuous active listening of campaign components tracking all relevant data and information. Comments, responses, DM’s, page views, clicks, time spent, shares, likes, etc.
- Analyze brand and cultural trends to identify actionable insights.
- Lead the creation and curation of insights and data-driven decks.
- Develop hypotheses on subject-matter and/or specific subcultures for use in driving strategy for campaign proposals.
- Keep a daily digest of observations + recommendations at a macro level.
- Follow proper escalation systems, as needed, for fans with negative feedback.
- Seek opportunities to insert the brand in social conversation, whether around relevant trending topics/news or engaging with social influencers/celebrities/other brands.
Requirements:
- High School or College degree (or proof of high fluid intelligence) with a passion for learning and research
- Extensive experience working across a variety of social platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.
- Can combine creativity and analytics with the ability to convert into a story
- Innate curiosity and ability to adapt + be flexible, whether with new tools, platforms, processes, etc.
- Any experience using the following social listening tools a plus but not mandatory
- Brandwatch/Crimson Hexagon
- TweetDeck
- Experience putting together presentations in written form using google slides
- Strong writing and communication skills
