Senior Manager, Brand and Social Media
Dorsia is a membership platform in New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, and the Hamptons, set out to revolutionize the reservation experience. The process of restaurant discovery, booking, and payments is broken, and we’re here to change that. We’re building frictionless technology that optimizes revenue for restaurants and experiences for members. Unlike existing dining reservation systems, Dorsia leverages a unique supply and demand pricing model to offer hard-to-book reservations for a guaranteed minimum spend. For restaurants, we optimize revenue by providing a reliable customer base, reducing no-shows and cancellations, and unlocking access to actionable diner insights and marketing support. For our members, we remove the hassle & frustration of securing that perfect reservation.
Dorsia's founding executive team and investors bring a wealth of experience in the hospitality, technology, finance, and media industries, providing Dorsia with a unique edge in building a new type of restaurant tech brand. The founding team includes Marc Lotenberg (CEO; Founder & CEO of Surface Media), Joshua Stern (VP; founder of Wine & Dine and I Know the Chef), and Jared Morgenstern, (investor, COO Raya and 3rd Designer at Facebook). The team also includes leaders from notable companies such as Amex/Resy, Booking.com, The New York Times, Cadre, Major Food Group, Faena, Diageo and USHG.
Dorsia is seeking a motivated, hard-working, and detail-oriented Senior Manager, Brand and Social Media, to join our team. In the role, ou will be responsible for creating campaigns for a 360 member journey experience across Dorsia’s comms– social channels, emails, push notifications, and more.
The ideal candidate is current with the cultural calendar, industry leaders, emerging influencers, and rising social media trends within and outside the hospitality industry. You are a strategic mastermind who brings creative and witty ways to deliver exceptional member experience through digital channels.
In this role, you will:
Leadership
- Develop, manage and execute Dorsia’s brand and social strategy to best align with Dorsia’s image, voice and mission
- Manage budgets; optimize budget on a monthly basis in partnership with broader marketing team and finance team
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the brand strategy and report on progress and results to key stakeholders
- Manage a team of content creators
Brand
- Develop a deep understanding of our target audience and key markets, and use this knowledge to inform the development of a brand strategy that resonates with our customers, differentiates us from competitors, and adheres to the nuances of each market
- Collaborate with the broader marketing team to ensure that our brand messaging, visual identity, and customer experience are consistent across all channels and touchpoints
- Build and maintain a centralized, integrated and comprehensive brand calendar—driving alignment and prioritization of marketing initiatives across the org and ensuring activations support enterprise business objectives
- Provide editing and writing expertise for brand copywriting needs including app, website, social, sales materials, outbound marketing / newsletter(s), and live events
Social Strategy
- Collaborate with Director, Content to build and nurture Dorsia community through compelling storytelling, experiences, and content distributed across owned, earned, and paid channelsOversee social media strategy and team responsible for execution of day to day content strategy and execution across all social channels including the management and execution of Dorsia’s influencer strategy and programing
- Monitor and report on the performance of influencer campaigns and use data insights to optimize future campaigns
- Develop a scalable content strategy that is unique to each market (as we grow and launch new culinary destinations) while still maintaining one brand voice and vision
What we're looking for:
- 5-8 years experience in marketing and brand strategy at a high-growth brand or consumer product company
- Experience in food, hospitality, and consumer technology industries a plus Strong leadership skills; experience building and cultivating a team of high-performing marketing talent across brand, creative, growth, and B2B functions
- Highly creative and strategic; able to analyze and implement revenue-driving opportunities through strategic marketing and brand building tactics while executing impeccable creative for the brand
- Experience with B2B sales process, strategies and team organization Familiarity with paid media channels, customer acquisition tactics, retention marketing, and customer loyalty programs Excellent communication and presentation skills; to present to C-suite and investors
- Highly organized with attention to detail but able to be flexible, nimble, and scrappy
- Positive, optimistic, encouraging attitude with ability to motivate team members during periods of intense growth
Compensation: $90,000-$105,000 (depending on experience and location) + meaningful equity
