As a Content Marketer you will have the opportunity to impact the success of our marketing strategies, increase brand awareness, and evangelize OneCause through content, social media, and other multi-channel activities.
We are looking for a passionate storyteller to convey the value of our products, share best practices, and capture the magic of the OneCause brand. Our mission as a company, is to build better tomorrows, and you will bring that mission to life through valuable content and creative resources.
Candidates should have experience in marketing, professional writing, thought leadership, or nonprofit communications and samples of high-quality content used in promoting a brand or marketing campaign.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce content to evangelize the OneCause brand and offerings.
- Increase traffic and brand awareness by helping optimize OneCause website and resources.
- Help strategize the quarterly content plan and calendar across teams.
- Develop SEO assets to increase website traffic and keyword rankings.
- Help manage content pipeline, including internal stakeholder relationships and quality checks.
- Assist with monthly team newsletters and company collateral to promote the brand.
- Conduct regular analysis on competitor social presence, brand, and resource offerings, to identify OneCause content gaps and opportunities to increase thought leadership position.
- Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence.
- Evangelize OneCause through social discussion and reach new audiences.
- Create shareable social content to drive engagement, retention, and lead generation.
- Find and experiment with new strategies and ways grow our social engagement on new channels.
- Support annual research projects through reviews, editorial support, and derivative content to increase reach and consumption of fundraising trends/insights.
- Help build and support presentations for strategic marketing projects and speaking engagements.
- Assist in drafting thought leadership and awards submissions as needed.
- Assist our new media team in leveraging assets in for social channels to grow the brand (podcasts, YouTube, video snippets).
- Assist in the planning and execution of annual Raise conference.
- Support general marketing initiatives and projects.
What you already know and skills you bring:
- You hold a bachelor’s degree (Marketing, Communications, English, or Liberal Arts specialization) or 4+ years of marketing or nonprofit experience.
- You love to write, and you spend time reading, blogging, podcasting (or consuming these things) and dreaming of ways to tell a powerful story.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can dazzle people with your writing or speaking.
- You have experience in social media channels either as a brand builder or personal channel consumer. You know what’s hot, what’s not, and where brands are headed on social.
- You thrive working in a rapidly changing environment that requires multi-tasking and managing competing priorities. You love to follow through, work your project list, and make sure no deliverable gets off track or delayed.
- You love attention to detail. You enjoy catching things on your own, making sure the “I’s are dotted and T’s crossed” and take pride in turning in error-free, and thorough deliverables.
- You demonstrate a continuous improvement and growth mindset. You dream of how to make things better and achieve the best results.
- You have a team-centric, can-do attitude. You're able to collaborate with others quickly and effectively.
- You have experience working cross-functionally, with stakeholders and leadership, to figure out what teams and people need and can create resources to address these areas.
- You are an active problem solver, who can think past issues and see what’s possible.
- You are a creator at heart, with experience making brands shine through your ideas and work.
- You are a self-starter who can independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
