Job Overview
UpRoar Technologies is looking for an experienced and highly-creative Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy to play a critical role in launching this cutting-edge, GenZ-focused platform. As someone who understands the social media space and creator economy, you will play a pivotal part in launching our GTM and PR strategies, and be responsible for managing the intersection of marketing, product and business development.
The ideal candidate is an expert in messaging, growth and scaling, and is extremely familiar with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Twitter, Google Ads and Meta/Facebook Ads. You will help articulate UpRoar’s company vision through a multitude of relevant and rising social outlets, while leading all aspects of market research, competitor analysis, data-driven product marketing initiatives and user testing. This person must be an excellent copywriter, adept at both marketing copy, as well as business writing – and also must have an eye for crafting pitch decks.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be critical in executing our marketing strategy through cross-functional collaboration, leading all marketing and branding efforts, creating collateral from ideation, and managing vendor selection for relevant projects. We are looking for someone who is both a tactician and strategist, comfortable working in fast-paced environments, and have the ability to quickly and easily pivot from one project to another when priorities change.

Stuff You’ll Work On
- Lead all aspects of digital media, marketing campaigns and branding efforts
- Develop marketing presentations, pitch materials and collateral
- Develop content used to tell our story, and build a portfolio of best-in-class case studies for internal and external use
- Maintain brand standards and key differentiation points that are highlighted in client-facing materials and marketing collateral
- Lead all planning, logistics, vendor selection, and direction of virtual and in-person events
- Own all aspects of video production, and ensure projects are prioritized and on budget
- Help develop operating procedures and best practices for using marketing automation
- Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to prepare assets for marketing campaigns
- Oversee, grow and engage our audiences across relevant social channels
- Create the voice, look and image for UpRoar, and ensure that voice is broadcast across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, etc.
- Maintain an ongoing content calendar, and craft and communicate brand voice, aesthetic, and mission on all social channels
- Craft the recipe for our ongoing content, and ensure that end users are receiving it positively
- Work alongside the executive team to solicit ideas from the company, and proactively filter down to the best ones
- Engage with creators and their fans across all social platforms
- Use data tools and insights to monitor social health and performance
- Research and implement latest social trends, best practices, and innovations across platforms
Stuff You’ve Done
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, ideally at a social media company, within the technology and/or entertainment industries
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, business administration, communications or related field, or an equally (or more) compelling collection of life experience
- Experience developing and delivering GTM plans, working with cross-functional teams to design and execute product launches, feature updates and partnership integrations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, and comfortable leading and taking ownership of projects or teams
- Experience working with PR agencies, leading marketing teams through new product launches, and is experienced with earned media
- Experience creating and maintaining marketing collateral from ideation (e.g., case studies, one-sheets, pitch decks, etc.)
- Proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and are eager to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
- Experience from an agency or fast-growing startup
- Proven track record of creating content and managing social media across all channels
- Mobile app and/or B2C marketplace experience is a BIG plus
- Ability to effectively storytell, and adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience
- Experience managing budgets and vendors, and proven ability to work with data and insights, and combining that with creative marketing tactics
- Up-to-date with the latest marketing and social media trends, and understand how it impacts our business
- Experience overseeing SEO initiatives, and in-depth knowledge with website analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.)
- High level of attention to detail including ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- Able to develop and refine narrative structure, messaging, and copy for products and features
- Experience in design software and CRM tools is a plus – Adobe (Premiere, Photoshop), HubSpot, etc.
- Deep understanding of the creator economy and their audiences is a plus
- Experience with Google Ads, Adwords, and Meta (formerly Facebook) Business Suite

Base Salary: $95,000 - $135,000. At UpRoar, base pay is one part of our total compensation package. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on your skills, qualifications and experience.
