Remote Account Director or Vice President - US Based

We’re looking for a seasoned, US-based Account Director or Vice President to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food and nutrition communication and a proven track record of managing multi-faceted projects on behalf of food and nutrition companies. This is a great opportunity for a candidate who has consistently served as a leader, in-house and/or on behalf of clients, in planning, coordinating and implementing communication programs and activities. The AD/VP will work among a close-knit group of nutrition communication experts to make significant, direct contributions to our work for high-profile clients.

This position is only open to candidates who are currently living in AZ, CT, DC, IL, MA, MD, NC, NY, OH, RI, SC, or UT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as day-to-day lead overseeing all aspects of select client projects and programs including setting agendas, leading calls and meetings, ensuring that projects are completed on-time, within budget and within scope, maintaining organized records, anticipating client needs and challenges and proactively addressing them
  • Partner with senior team members to build and grow relationships with existing client teams by effectively understanding, anticipating, and responding to needs as they pertain to budgets, planning cycles, and deliverables
  • Provide counsel to clients regarding insights, strategy and planning and stakeholder engagement
  • Manage junior team members including delegating tasks based on individuals’ strengths, skill sets, experience levels, and bandwidth
  • Research, draft, edit and review client materials and deliverables
  • Plan, staff and manage details for in-person, and virtual, client events
  • Leverage broad understanding of food and nutrition landscape as it relates to clients including industry trends and issues, relevant emerging topics and key stakeholders and opinion leaders
  • Maintain responsibility for ensuring efficient processes and procedures and best-in-class quality of client work
  • Assist with internal projects as needed

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in nutrition marketing, communications or PR in-house at food / CPG or healthcare company or elsewhere
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in nutrition, dietetics, communications, public relations, marketing, regulatory affairs or related field preferred
  • Registered Dietitian (RD), nutritionist or other scientific credential a plus
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Commitment to our values of quality, integrity, thoughtfulness and leadership
  • Experience in building and maintaining business relationships
  • Digitally-savvy with experience in social media, influencer marketing and partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task, delegate and manage heavy workloads
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Superior interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Results driven with a focus on delivering excellent client service
  • Positive, “Can-Do” attitude
  • Dedicated, professional remote working environment with strong and reliable internet connectivity
  • Willing to work CST or EST hours
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
