Day to Day Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement social strategy across all Sonesta’s brand social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn)
- Manage Sonesta’s content calendar to ensure brand social content is relevant, engaging and optimized for each unique channel
- Craft and publish social content across owned social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Be the voice of Sonesta’s brands on social media based on the hotels’ various brand personas and maintain Sonesta’s online presence through proactive community management and channel engagement
- Be the expert on optimized digital content and the everchanging social media landscape and stay on top of social trends (i.e. vertical video, audio trends) as well as high performing industry trends
- Manage influencer campaigns and curate approved UGC content for social channels
- Analyze and deliver campaign and content performance metrics using social media analytics and monitoring tools
- Develop strategy of social media campaigns, promotions and partnership initiatives for Sonesta’s brand channels
- Consult with Sonesta hotels on their localized social media strategies to ensure synergy and compliance with Corporate strategy
Education/Experience:
- 2-3 years of related social media experience; in an agency or fast-paced corporate environment
- Demonstrated experience with project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven track record of writing effectively for different communications vehicles, formats and audiences
- Proven content creation skills and creativity leveraging social media platform functionality (Reels, TikTok,
- Experience with leveraging data and analytics to inform content and social media strategies
Key Competencies:
- Excellent knowledge of social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn) and the nuances for managing each
- Proficient in using social media management and publishing tools (i.e. Sprout Social, Hootsuite, etc.)
- Obtains a creative eye/talent for engaging, quality visual content (photography, social video) and is constantly thinking of how to create and innovate through content
- Strong understanding of best practices for digital and social content (organic and paid)
- Strong creative writing and/or copyrighting skills with keen attention to detail
- Experience working with and/or developing marketing creative assets (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
- Ability to manage independent projects and takes initiative to research, analyze, and recommend best practices
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to think analytical when it comes to content performance and constantly trying to improve and strengthen efforts based on metrics
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task effectively bringing projects to a successful closure within fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Photography/videography skills are a plus
