Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This job is not suitable for remote work and is expected to work regular on-site hours. Travel may be required.
Purpose
The purpose of the Sr. Graphic Designer is to plan and create graphics for Texas Athletics platforms, including social media, digital, in-venue and print.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a content creator for the department’s sports programs and initiatives. Manage the graphics of assigned programs and initiatives for social media, in-venue videoboards, web/app and print. Create motion graphics as needed.
- Collaborate and communicate with internal partners such as Communications and Marketing, as well as external partners such as the conference office and Longhorn Sports Properties.
- Train and provide instruction and feedback to student content creators.
- Ensure proper organization of creative content files and archives.
- Fulfill requests in a timely manner by managing the request and tracking system, creating content and delegating tasks as needed.
- Maintain and adhere to the Texas Athletics Brand Identity and Style Guide for digital and motion elements.
- Assist with still photography at games and events as needed. Provide direction at media days and photoshoots as needed.

Comply with all laws, policies, rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Regents of The University of Texas System, The University of Texas at Austin, NCAA, Big 12, or other governing body, including state and federal laws. Report knowledge of, or reasonable cause to believe, violation(s) of state or federal laws, policies, rules, or regulations of the University, Big 12 Conference, or NCAA to IA ARMCS or IA HR. Fully cooperate with any investigation by providing complete and accurate information when requested to do so by Texas Athletics and/or the NCAA and do not influence others in any way during an investigation. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Communications, Visual Arts, Sports Management or related field. Two or more years of professional experience using Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects. Excellent organizational, problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to challenge the status quo while still maintaining the integrity of a brand. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsProfessional experience in intercollegiate athletics or professional sports program. Experience supervising and training student content creators.Salary Range$50,000 + depending on qualificationsWorking Conditions
