VP Of Marketing - Regulated CPG Experience
The Role
As VP of Marketing you will focus on our CPG company marketing strategy and work with the leadership team on marketing initiatives, managing and driving the company towards successful growth. You will build and lead a team that pushes boundaries and disrupts the status quo. Your experience creating and building brands in the gray space will properly prepare you for the challenge ahead and the task to make the impossible possible. In this leadership role you will set the course for our future growth by continuing to build our brand and expand our presence in consumers' lives. With hands on best in class leadership and working through your team leaders, you will drive the strategy and execution within the Marketing function. Growth strategies will include expansion in c-store, grocery, specialty, ecommerce channels leveraging our existing portfolio and innovation pipeline to capture all segments of the category.

- Play a leadership role in developing the overall Marketing strategy, brand positioning, key messaging, creative assets and brand guidelines
- Build a strategic marketing plan with innovative campaigns that are driven by performance and influencer marketing, creative, online & offline efforts, brand & direct marketing, as well as community building
- Enhance our storytelling ability by bringing our brand and values to life - including through content, communications, and engagement initiatives.
- Execute world class advertising creative and programming to fully bring the brand to life.
- Develop highly targeted marketing activation plans that reflect the overarching vision and goals for the brand, and within specific markets(e.g., Direct Mail, SMS, e-mail, brand intercepts/sampling, sponsorships, targeted advertising/media , coupon programs, etc.)
- Develop a comprehensive engagement strategy that involves social, loyalty, and in-store experience and ultimately drives new consumer and revenue growth at scale
- Build a data-driven consumer insights and research capability to develop a deep understanding of consumer behavior and consumer purchase decision factors to inform, create and optimize marketing programs
- Work to develop a full year retail marketing calendar in line with the Sales Planning Cycles and the overarching marketing calendar
- Drive product innovation, ideation, pipeline development and packaging design to ensure the brand stays ahead of the competition
- Develop relevant trade marketing fixtures, assets, signage and best practices to create optimized shopper marketing creative in store
- Successfully manage agency relationships to ensure that advertising, in store, and promotional initiatives are breakthrough, cost-effective, drive ROI and are consistent with the company's overall strategy
- Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all marketing program activities
- Lead and manage the overall marketing budget

- Experience successfully executing integrated marketing campaigns at scale
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Superior strategic mindset and intellectual agility
- Strong understanding of the regulated category and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in CPG marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategies
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- MBA a plus, but not required
Compensation
We offer a competitive base salary with an additional lucrative profit share program. A generous options package will also be provided in this role so that you participate in short-, medium- and long-term liquidity events in our organization. Full medical benefits will be provided along with paid vacation and an additional week off between Christmas and New Year's.
