Your role at Clorox:
As a Brand Engagement Manager, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape, nurture, and amplify the Kingsford Charcoal brand—an iconic grilling brand that makes briquettes, pellets, and fuel with North American ingredients, owned by The Clorox Company. Day in and day out, you’ll finesse our brand voice and identify content strategies that will continually inspire and captivate our audience in the grilling space.
In this role, you will:
- Report to the Associate Director of Brand Engagement—bringing a subject matter expertise in PR, digital marketing, and social media content; along with a high proficiency in campaign/content development and execution.
- Help shape and support a cohesive, engaging brand voice for Kingsford Charcoal, with a strong understanding and display of our brand purpose.
- Manage creative content strategy and communications development that drive the brand’s purpose and positioning, and maximize business results.
- Execute and measure organic/paid social, influencer, and experiential programs that support the business and omnichannel experience on platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Work with internal and external agencies, partners, and teams to execute the brand’s content strategy from concept to completion—including overseeing creative/content development and organizing and tracking assets/timelines.
- Maintain a pulse on culturally relevant trends across social channels and identify content opportunities (organic/paid) that will drive awareness, affinity, and engagement for the brand.
- Track and analyze key marketing metrics across organic/paid content to maximize effectiveness and ROI.
- Manage community of social channels—including creating monthly content calendars, developing and scheduling posts, and building audience engagement and relevant communities.
- Assist in managing our PR agency in developing campaigns, partnerships, and messaging that brings our brand purpose to life in a meaningful way.
What we look for:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the content marketing space for consumer brands
- Agency & CPG experience a plus
- Experience with a lifestyle, grilling, or food brand preferred, but not required
- An ability for both strategic and creative thinking, balanced with a strong business acumen
- A solid understanding of media analysis/media math, along with aperture-based media planning/investment foundation knowledge
- A keen interest in the latest trends, innovations, and consumer behaviors
- Strong collaboration skills; proficient track record of working well across various departments—including but not limited to marketing, creative, and sales
- Extremely organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- A sense of diligence, accountability, and bias toward action

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $116,700 - $229,800
–Zone B: $107,000 - $210,700
–Zone C: $97,200 - $191,500

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
