Summary:
We are seeking a Digital Media Director to help grow our amazing portfolio of dermo-cosmetics brands: Eau Thermale Avène, Rene Furterer, Glytone, and Klorane. This role will have a significant impact on the Pierre Fabre US business helping to expand consumer engagement efforts in the US via the new Consumer Engagement & Activation unit, comprising Digital, Data and Media. This person will lead a small but talented team, reporting to the Head of Consumer Engagement & Activation.
This position will oversee the development of the digital media strategy to deliver the business objectives. The role includes managing partnerships with our media and digital activation agencies, to get the absolute best out of them. Additionally, the Digital Media Director will be the main liaison with our digital media platforms (Google, Amazon, Meta, TikTok, etc.) to drive our digital strategy and maximize our digital performance. This role includes staying abreast of new dynamics and trends in the digital media and digital marketing space. It involves analyzing media performance data to maximize our digital media spend to get the highest ROI possible, and to identify insights that we leverage. The position will own digital media and digital marketing performance analytics, ROI/ROAS, and other KPIs of digital marketing and media.
This role is ideal for someone who is experienced with digital media, strategic, analytical, creative and in love with the hands-on craft of digital media.
Essential Functions:
- Developing Digital Media strategies (media planning) informed by data and insights, including media objectives, activation and performance measures to achieve and advance each brand’s growth objectives in alignment with the brand teams.
- Managing the strategy, tactics, and budgets (day-to-day and long-range) of our digital media agencies: serve as main agency partner.
- Managing the team that is responsible for CRM touchpoints including email marketing, retention strategies and new customer acquisition initiatives, defining all steps of the consumer’s digital journey.
- Defining the media plan and guidelines through executional excellence on assets, and data-driven dissemination strategies aligned with brand equity, platform relevancy and consumer targeting with focus on optimizing content and channel marketing investments.
- Optimizing media spend by developing faster and lower cost options for acquiring, engaging, and retaining consumers.
- Managing media and digital marketing analytics across all media and marketing tactics, to identify insights that will optimize the marketing mix and improve executional performance (improving ROI and ROAS).
- Establishing benchmarks and KPIs for digital marketing measurement, overseeing performance tracking, mine insights and providing recommendations for marketing improvement.
- Leveraging various web analytics tools to track traffic and user behavior.
- Leading the Influence team, which oversees influencer marketing (influencer relations, content, contracts, media amplification, etc.), including PR efforts with influencers.
- Managing the PIM of digital assets that will be leveraged across all digital media.
- Staying up to date on the latest trends and best practices in Media overall, Digital Media and Digital Marketing, and recommend new strategies and tactics to drive business growth.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Data, Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing, HCP Marketing, Sales, eComm, and more to identify.
- Create best-in-class partner relationships with brands, professional marketing activation, finance and IT.
Competencies:
- Understanding of the US Media landscape online and offline, but especially the Digital and Social landscape.
- Experience in digital marketing and digital media (Google AdWords, sponsored ads, banner ads, email marketing, social media marketing, search engine optimization, pay-per-click advertising, content marketing, etc.)
- Experience working in a CPG digital media or digital marketing function, with knowledge of digital marketing role and responsibilities, including knowledge of vendors and platforms.
- Strong data analysis skills, data visualization to identify trends, patterns, and insights from complex data sets.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of business dynamics.
- Proficient in using marketing automation tools, such as CRM systems, email marketing platforms, social media analytics tools, and web analytics tools; experience with manipulating data in digital media platform portals and dashboards.
- Digital media planning and ideally media buying experience; knowledge of digital media techniques, tools, and technologies.
- Understanding of web and digital analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Meta Analytics, Amazon Analytics and various other digital media platforms.
- Experience with A/B testing and other conversion optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office software (Excel, PPT, word) to produce reports, analysis, and presentations.
- Communication skills to convey complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders, such as marketing managers, sales teams, and executives
- Create best-in-class partner relationships with brands, professional marketing activation, finance and IT.
Required Education and Experience:
- Exposure to consumer products marketing, ideally Beauty and/or Personal Care
- BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- +7 years of experience in Digital Media and/or Digital Marketing
- Experience with digital media planning & media buying
- Experience with database manipulation background (Excellent MS-Excel skills), familiarity with PowerBI or Tableau
- Experience working with or for Media agencies, i.e., having worked in-house or managing an agency.
- Experience with SEO and SEA
- Experience with Social Media platforms, performance portals and analytics (Meta, TikTok, Snap) and familiarity with marketing automation tools such as Hubspot, Marketo or Pardot.
- Google Certifications (AdWords, Digital marketing, Dara Analytics, etc.)
- Leadership skills
- Proven teamwork and collaboration skills
- Experience with C-Suite level presentations and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to develop solutions to complex problems requiring the use of ingenuity and creativity; ability to formulate approaches and strategies which may fall outside of historical norms

Work Environment / physical demands / position type and expected hours of work:
- This job operates in a clerical, office setting.
- The normal working hours of the office are from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
