Overview

We are looking for a marketing leader to champion our new thought leadership and content marketing practice. As a subject matter expert on marketing trends and technology with an editorial lens and a track record of producing great content, you’ll be responsible for creating, delivering, and merchandising thought leadership campaigns and projects to Mailchimp’s customers and prospects. You’ll work closely with internal teams across multiple functions to bring this new program to life. You’ll develop content catering to our audience of marketers across a number of content types – social content, articles, whitepapers, and more – as you develop a strategic plan for a newly launched content program.

Intuit Mailchimp is a hybrid workplace , giving employees the opportunity to collaborate in person with team members in our Atlanta and Brooklyn offices two or more days per week.

  • Track record of producing excellent opinions about marketing in a variety of digital formats
  • Experience in content creation and production
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Experience building a robust content/media production workflow
  • Experience managing a team, as well as vendor and contractor relationships
  • Familiarity with search-engine optimization tools and Google Analytics
  • Strong editing skills
  • Loves to solve complex problems and streamline multilayered workflows
  • Impeccably organized, detail-oriented and operations-minded

How You Will Lead

  • Develop and own Mailchimp’s point of view on marketing trends and technology
  • Own Mailchimp’s thought leadership task force, an initiative that combines creative, content, and comms strategy to work toward a quick-moving content development stream
  • Create the Mailchimp editorial calendar, defining content plans on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Work with paid media to determine best fit content partner and creator relationships, leading this work stream from start to publishing
  • Create content with an eye toward effective distribution strategies, particularly repurposing on social media channels
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product, and leadership teams to develop content that can be used for demand generation, social media, PR, and other initiatives
  • Design and implement content strategy to align with business goals and objectives
  • Continually monitor our marketing thought leadership SOV with PR & comms, with an eye toward increased levels of web traffic and customer engagement
  • Work with research and analytics to set benchmarks and KPIs, and create a reporting structure to merchandise at a regular cadence
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in B2B marketing, and determine best application for Mailchimp to participate
