Every year, more customers are seeing us as a trusted resource in knowing how to run their business. Their experience may start with Jobber by seeing our name in a web search, searching Jobber Academy for expert advice or best practices, or watching one of our YouTube videos designed to help them in their day-to-day. We’ve established a solid brand in the home services industry, but know there’s a massive opportunity in this category to create awareness - which is where the Senior Director, Organic Growth and Content comes in.
Reporting to our Senior Vice President, Marketing, this Senior Director will drive our content-centered strategy to grow category and brand awareness, and accelerate our organic customer acquisition to mirror the success we’ve seen in our paid acquisition channels.
This individual will own everything organic growth - from strategy development to execution, to the development and resourcing of a scalable content-creation engine and processes. You’ll have the opportunity to drive the investment on this side - in both people and budget - that will have all home service businesses thinking ‘Jobber’.
In this role, the Senior Director, Organic Growth and Content will:
- Lead everything laddering up into organic growth and brand, including content marketing, SEO and website. Depending on the candidate's experience, you will either manage or closely partner with the Influencer Marketing, Social Media, PR, Event Marketing and Creative teams.
- Drive accelerated customer and revenue growth through organic channels. We want someone to take the foundation we’ve established and construct the strategy that will scale us to the next level, by increasing the home service category and Jobber brand awareness.
- Craft and execute the content development and distribution strategy. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams, from Marketing to Sales and Business Operations, to use content to attract customers, drive engagement and increase conversion rates.
- You’ll manage performance throughout the customer funnel from initial impression to engagement to trial.
- Manage production of content with internal and external resources. Ensure all content is optimized for its intended channel – particularly for organic search discovery.
- Have the opportunity to lead up to a 30+ person team - and growing!
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Deep experience managing the breadth of non-paid marketing activities covered by this position - with experience operating at a similar level.
- Proven experience creating and executing a content marketing strategy at scale at a company where content marketing drove the majority of their traffic and customer acquisition.
- Demonstrated experience driving revenue growth cost-effectively with an ability to tie activity to quantifiable results.
- Experience building and managing teams including second-line managers. Coaching and mentoring experience.
- An ability to think both strategically and operationally.
- Experience marketing to consumers or small businesses - and a desire to do it again.
