Associate Creative Director, Art
Mustache is on the hunt for a battle-tested Associate Creative Director of Art with 8-10 years of advertising and/or comms experience, preferably a chunk of that in the healthcare space.
Reason being, we work on culture-shifting campaigns that span the OTC, DTC, and HCP spaces. And we love the act of convergence between the three, because the goal is to always spark, fuel, and sustain conversations in spaces where it’s about earning your seat vs paying for it. Got a great mix of the above? Let’s get to talkin’.
Above all else, we’re looking for a resilient creative leader who’s a visual thinker, a culture vulture, and a chameleon of design because no two briefs are every alike. They must know how to amplify empathy and exude passion for helping people become healthier versions of themselves.
Oh, and a killer book is a must, but you already knew that.
What you’ll be doing on any given day as a Mustache ACD:
- Teaming up with a fellow ACD of Copy to conceptualize, develop, and execute a wide range of healthcare work for a variety of health clients—this could include branded activations, disease state awareness campaigns, interesting cross-industry partnerships, stunts, product launches, you name it
- Representing the creative department in day-to-day meetings, both internally and externally, and be primary creative point of contact along with your Associate Creative Director of Copy partner
- Art directing and either designing or overseeing the design work for everything you come up with, get approved, and send out into the world, all while ensuring each asset is flawless in its presentation. Deliverables may include video, digital, social, print, AR/VR, experiential assets, web, and logomarks
- Chopping it up with the integrated functions of our agency, including strategy, digital, social, influencer, talent, earned media, and creative tech, in order to make concepts earned-first, digitally optimized, and truly 360 degrees
- Ideate on new business pitches as your bandwidth allows—if it’s the right opportunity, help present work in new business pitches as part of a core team
- Leaning in to help manage projects alongside experienced, savvy integrated producers and project directors (being a stickler of the creative process is very important!)
- There will be occasional opportunities to jump into other consumer work floating around the agency—our client base is diverse enough that there is always an engaging project to sink your teeth into
- Learning how to deliver earned-first ideas that go beyond the 30-second TVC
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience presenting work and managing relationships with clients through the work
- Experience in scoping art and design hours for projects to ensure we are setting ourselves up for success
- Ability to self-manage, and manage junior creatives, especially during a crunched timeline
- Previous roles in Advertising or Graphic Design, a portfolio of ideas and executions demonstrating strong layout and composition with a keen eye for typography and motion
- A professional-level mastery of industry standard design software and tools including the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud
- Production experience in art direction and design for video, digital and social platforms
- A thick skin: the work is fast-paced and very dynamic—ideas sometimes die, come back to life again, and then turn into other things, an ability to pivot and not give up is vital to success here
$86,000 - $133,000 a year
