The Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for building a world class marketing team at Vendr. This person will be charged with shaping and advancing the company’s message and brand across all omni-channels utilizing market analysis, trends and customer insights. As an executive member of the Vendr leadership team, the VP Marketing will play an integral role in the company’s growth. This position will lead and develop the marketing function and oversee global marketing strategies including but not limited to: product marketing with a focus on B2B, content & communications, brand marketing and performance marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Define the overall Marketing strategy / goals, in collaboration with the Vendr leadership team
- Assess current / propose new key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of all marketing activities; update associated targets to support the new strategy and goals
- Develop plans and activities to drive the brand and business goals, in coordination and collaboration across the company (e.g. with Sales, Customer Success, Operations)
- Drive the execution of these Marketing activities, supported by your Marketing Leadership Team and in a fiscally responsible way, with a spirit of continuous improvement of the Marketing ROI
- Specifically, ensure that our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing experiences - enabled by creative, unique, differentiating ideas and marketing initiatives
- Develop a team structure that facilitates and maximizes individual and team performance; create and maintain a team culture that lives our Company’s values and fosters cross-company collaboration and partnership
- Effectively lead and support the professional development of your Marketing Leadership Team and of the members of the Marketing organization, aligned with Vendr’s values. Set team and individual goals that support department and company-wide goals; monitor progress and coach for high performance.
- Use data and reports to make evidence-based decisions; create and present the annual marketing plan, strategy and progress to the leadership team and to the company
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience as a Senior Leader leading a Marketing organization at a SaaS company
- Demonstrated experience creating a strategic plan, managing priorities and deadlines, and adapting quickly to changing priorities
- Strong executer with a strategic mindset
- Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Proven success at building teams and hiring talent that directly contributes to growth objectives
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task large-scale marketing initiatives
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate high- level strategy and actionable tactics
