About The Role

As an Affiliates Performance Marketing Specialist, you will work within our Performance Marketing Partnerships team within the Growth Organization to help us build a healthy, high-ROI affiliate program to support our goal of increasing awareness for Shopify and driving merchant growth through automation with affiliate marketing partners. You'll have the opportunity to create and execute integrated governance processes and products at the partner and program level with the overall objective of supporting healthy customer acquisition.

  • Support the global strategy for driving affiliate program security, scaling, and localizing the program offering and positioning by region.
  • Understand the business models, needs and motivations of the various affiliate segments and develop solutions to support them
  • Monitor affiliates for compliance of program terms, including affiliate fraud, PPC and content violations and manage remediation processes
  • Report on monthly/quarterly affiliate compliance targets and trend data, sharing key insights with the leadership team
  • Serve as a point of escalation for affiliate support tickets, including affiliate applications, ensuring data accuracy and monthly reconciliation with finance
  • Monitor channel and program performance ensuring all activity is tracking towards merchant acquisition and cost/customer targets.
  • Identify areas of opportunity to automate, streamline or optimize processes
  • Support experimentation and testing of new growth opportunities and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • +5 years of operations in digital marketing including performance marketing, influencer and affiliate marketing, and/or customer acquisition marketing
  • Technical and Operational knowledge in network integration and publisher attribution
  • Experience using Impact Radius, Salesforce, or other Affiliate CRM Platform
  • Familiarity with Affiliate Network Quality & program Compliance, including common violations and resolution processes
  • Experience with navigating affiliate network reports, commission rates and advertiser terms and conditions
  • Experience working with cross functional teams like paid channels, lifecycle marketing, developers, engineers, designers, and data scientists
  • Strong analytical skills; must be proficient in analyzing and interpreting data from third-party platforms (i.e. Impact Radius) and adapt to custom internal reporting tools
  • Experience providing comprehensive, data-driven readouts and recommendations for operational efficiencies
  • Self-driven with a high degree of ownership and have strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and planning/project management skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a demonstrated capacity to balance speed and quality
  • Experience with Slack, GitHub, Zendesk and GSuite a plus
  • Strong Excel skills preferred
  • Strong Customer Service Skills.
