About the role
You will be responsible for strategic growth of the income portfolio within the USA. The Country Director (CD) inputs to and drives the Fundraising strategy for Movember and ensures all programs, campaigns and actions are aligned to the Movember business strategy. The CD will build new strategic relationships and maintain existing relationships to ensure they optimise the fundraising return for Movember.
This role is the key leadership role within the USA office. You will be a proven leader who combines a successful track record of organizational leadership and fundraising with a passion for men’s health. Strategic and operational, you will have the ability to define the organization’s direction and deliver on goals through the effective and efficient use of available resources.
The remuneration range for this role is a base salary of USD $160k - $200k per annum. Movember is a hybrid-first organisation meaning you will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between the office, home, and other sites. Availability to travel domestically and internationally is a must.
You’ll have the opportunity to
- Develop and deliver the annual Fundraising and campaign strategy for the assigned market, aligned to the Movember Fundraising Strategy and Business Strategy
- Deliver revenue targets aligned to country strategy as well as contribute more broadly to global strategies (both Income and Impact)
- Manage reporting and analytics, develop insights to inform program initiatives and keep key stakeholders informed (e.g. CFDO, Board, ELT)
- Lead the fundraising team and campaign operations team in the market to ensure delivery of the fundraising objectives and revenue target across all supporter portfolios; Corporate & Partnerships/Sponsorships, Community and Major Gifts, Recurring Giving, Government Support and other fundraising programs
- Build and manages a capable and culturally aligned team and supports their individual and team achievements (revenue targets and other key metrics)
- Be the face of Movember and Brand ambassador in the assigned geography, media and event spokesperson
- Increase public awareness of men’s health issues and the work that the Movember Foundation does to support these
- Be a trusted advisor and influencer within Movember who has high levels of credibility with senior leaders and external stakeholders
- Live and role model the Movember Values and Culture and inspire the team to do the same
- Drives the Movember culture within their office
- Demonstrates a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
For this role, you’ll need
- 10+ years in a leadership role; motivating and inspiring successful teams
- 10+ years in senior fundraising roles gained in dynamic organisations with best practice programs and initiatives
- Demonstrated experience leading a team to deliver fundraising portfolios and associated revenue targets
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills
- Highly developed organization skills and ability to prioritise
- Strong problem-solving skills with a high degree of self-motivation and initiative
- Has strong networks and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships
- Self-starter/high level of internal motivation
- Ability to work in a fast paced and growth environment
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Fundraising/CRM (SalesForce preferred) database experience
Bonus points for
- Established C-Suite relationships with Corporates in market
- Experience and knowledge of Movember’s other key markets: Canada, UK, Australia
