THE ROLE

Hartbeat is looking for Creative Strategist, Brand Partnerships who will own the ideation, development and packaging of integrated custom programs for a variety of clients, working alongside internal teams (Development, Marketing, and Production) to craft a solution that is both on brand for Hartbeat and in line with client’s business goals.

Reporting to the SVP, Brand & Franchise Management, you will play a pivotal role working across a matrixed organization to build the Hartbeat brand and drive exciting growth. Responsibilities

Creative Strategy:

  • Concept, develop and guide the creation of funny, shareable, innovative brand partnerships that include but are not limited to social media activations, content sponsorships, custom content, product/brand integration and experiential activations
  • Independently develop, package and pitch original branded content programs on tight deadlines based on client and RFP asks.
  • Must be able to problem solve for client’s needs through creative thinking, research, and understanding of current and upcoming trends, tools, influencers and platforms.
  • Create and manage the vision of a project throughout entire process
  • Become intimately familiar with all facets of LOL’s businesses (LOL X, LOL Network, LOL Studios and LOL Audio) in order to develop cross-division brand partnerships package
  • Lead and or contribute to creative meetings and brainstorm session
  • Source, vet and contract writers and influencer talent: Build and facilitate talent lists and approvals and lead influencer negotiations
  • Research and track competitive branded content across all platforms for inspiration
  • Lead quarterly writers room activations for vertical-specific custom ideas
  • Work with development team to ensure Hartbeat programs are brand-friendly
  • Create strong packaging around our creative ideas so they both meet our business goals and ensure measurable success for our clients
  • Understand the value of insights and leverage them to support your ideas
  • Be a respected strategic & creative voice for both the client and Hartbeat
  • Campaign Execution & Project Management
  • Lead creative development and manage brand specific and vertical custom ideas, decks, and write ups for every incoming RFP, road show, or outreach to prospective clients
  • Manage multiple projects at a time and work with several different teams across the business organization
  • Work with production team or partners to ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and within budget
  • Create effective distribution strategies and packages based on platform-specific best practices while tying back to client KPIs
  • Prioritize of day-to-day task across brand(s) and campaigns
  • Efficiently manage deliverable timelines and budgets (projected and actuals) for all pending and booked branded campaigns
  • Set up Project Kickoff meetings with internal (and potentially external) stakeholders
  • Ability to manage social execution and other graphic needs with internal design team or hired external teams while maintaining both brand and LOL’s voice in all custom assets
  • Create and oversee all timelines for both internal parties and client turnarounds
  • Follow legal, budgetary and client restrictions when developing programs

Presentation/Sales Support:

  • Pitch ideas, both internally and directly to clients
  • Work across verticals to compile proactive concepts and continuously work alongside sales counterparts to identify and define opportunities for the further growth of the accounts and campaigns
  • Provide strategic and tactical support to key accounts in partnership with LOL’s Sales team
  • Support Account Executive counterparts on qualified sales calls and strategy sessions, as well as proposal presentations and pitches, to positively impact client relationships and create high caliber creative programming
  • Research and subscribe to various trades and posts to stay up to date on digital media landscape and sending reports to entire Sales team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of professional experience
  • Experience running social accounts for a major publisher or brand
  • Well versed in influencer marketing space with knowledge of all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Twitch and Snapchat)
  • Interest in comedy content and landscape
  • An understanding of social video and how to optimize it for different platforms. 
  • Preferably experience with lightweight video editing/knowledge of Adobe Premiere 
  • An understanding of virality and the media landscape
  • Excellent presentation skills – with advanced skills in PPT and/or Keynote
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-motivated and fearless in carving out new responsibilities
