Responsibilities

The Social Media and Digital PR Specialist will be responsible for creating and implementing social media and digital PR strategies across several IDEAL businesses through community management, content calendar management, content development and social media analysis. They will create an engaging and innovative social media presence by staying up to date on digital and social trends, influencer activations, employee advocacy and best practices. The specialist is the owner of the brand voice on social media and will work closely with the Social Media Manager and will support the entire digital marketing practice at IDEAL. The position reports to the Manager, Social Media & Digital PR at IDEAL Corporate.

Responsibilities

  • Social Content Calendar Management: Lead organic content calendar development for supported business on the key platforms of: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok. Translates the division priorities and the social strategy into social media tactical executions.
  • Social Media Content Development: Concepts, writes and designs social media content for supported platforms. Develops campaign ideas for social media. Concept, shoot and edit short-form on-brand videos for channels like Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts; Concept and produce long-form animations
  • User Generated Content Curator: Source content across social media channels using a mix of hashtags, preferred partners, and industry adjacent profiles to identify, organize, caption, and recommend content for sharing onto owned properties with appropriate publishing rights.
  • Employee Advocacy Program Lead: Create a monthly bank of content to suggest for employees to share on LinkedIn and other personal networks to support employees in advocating for IDEAL Industries, Inc. and its brands in a brand-safe way; Partners cross-functionally to bring external social campaigns to internal strategies for employees to adopt employee advocacy
  • Community Management: Respond to comments and messages in brand voice on social media platforms in accordance with response window requirements, foster engagement and build relationships with followers. Report on community management activities and suggests activities to improve the customer experience.
  • System Ownership: Owns the Monday.com project management software for the DCOE; Concepts and creates processes for the broader team. Responsible for creating automations and training colleagues on project management efficiencies and best practices. Owns the Hootsuite Social Media Management tool implementation including tag management and analysis. Establishes and owns the implementation of the TINT UGC tool, Woobox contest platform and other SAAS platforms as needed.
  • Social Media Analysis: Partners with analyst to guide social media analysis; Leverages provided social media analytics in Hootsuite and translates social media content performance into recommendations for future content development based on best practices, past performance and owned/industry benchmarks.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree in marketing, advertising, or communications with working knowledge of social media platforms
  • 3-5 years social media and/or PR experience
  • 3-5 years copywriting experience
  • 1-2 years video editing experience
  • 2-3 years basic graphic design and animation experience
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro and social media management tools, experience with Hootsuite, TINT, Roster, Monday.com a plus
  • Must have ability to travel within the US or abroad on occasion

  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
