VP, Creative Services
The VP, Creative Services manages the team of in-house & freelance creative staff, and will play an integral role in the multi-year expansion of creative services offerings to clients, and the integration with Creative Services across the TAIT enterprise.
As we continue to grow, the VP Creative Services will work with productionglue's leadership team to help define future goals for the Creative Services offerings, set a strategy for, and lead the realization/execution of those goals. Concurrently, the VP Creative Services will manage productionglue's current design studio and respond to the fast-paced day-to-day needs for creative support in the areas of Graphic Design, Environmental / Scenic Design, and Photo / Video.
This role will serve as the curator of Creative Services- staffing projects with individuals, contractors, and agencies based on the needs of the client and the project. With the overall goal of ensuring that creative services department grows the depths of services the company can offer using the creative resources from around the world, including across the TAIT enterprise.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow external design resources including sourcing, recruiting, and booking contractors (further build-out glue's freelancer design network)
- Contribute to Creative Strategy, Ideation, and Storytelling for projects and pitches to help drive new business
- Handle traffic management of creative needs for Projects, Business Development, and Marketing
- Implement & fine-tune workflow procedures for greater efficiencies & improved communication
- Build on, develop, and enhance glue's content creation skills and services, and work with TAIT's content creation studio to offer clients more 'in house' content services
- Lead & provide general project communication and design direction to associates and freelancers
- Ensure that all work involves the proper implementation of all client brand guidelines & restrictions
- Facilitate the design process including, but not limited to, spot-checking work
- Develop & maintain design deliverables, timelines, and budgets
- Maintain intimate familiarity with productionglue's, TAIT's and Thinkwell Group's values, capabilities, and strengths
Qualifications:
- 10+ Years of experience in design management in live events or a related field
- Strong knowledge of core event production elements, terms, and process
- Strong knowledge of brand marketing and communications
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Keynote, Powerpoint. Familiar with visualization programs such as Twin Motion, Unreal Engine or Cinema 4D, and drafting programs such as Vectorworks or AutoCAD.
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to lead both in-person and remotely
- Ability to take initiative, multi-task, and work graciously in a fast-paced environment juggling many concurrently ongoing conversations, projects, and requests
- Natural influencer & communicator who works with diplomacy & tact
- Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency & act responsively
- Engaging with excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both verbal & written
- Able to work effectively with many personality types
- Supremely detail-oriented & thorough
- Confident, eager, kind, self-motivated, and team-oriented
NYC or LA preferred, Hybrid schedule with Travel required, depending on Location
Annual Salary Range: $170,000 - $195,000
