Reporting to the Brand President, this position will be responsible for developing and implementing a dynamic brand strategy including marketing and brand guidelines with the objectives of increasing brand awareness, driving brand growth, building the image of the brand and creating superior brand equity primarily in the United States. This position will be responsible for the development and execution of the strategic plan (developed through collaboration with the Movado leadership team) and lead in the development of product concepts that fit with the brand message and resonate with the target segments.
Key Activities:
Brand Strategy:
- Develop strategic, consumer-driven plans that maximize brand equity, brand image, brand awareness as well as revenue and profit
- Manage and track the advertising and promotional budget, ensure spend is prioritized against brand priorities and relevant growth opportunities
- Conduct brand performance analysis to drive effective decision making
- Monitor category dynamics and competitive activity to create contingency plans when the budget is at risk
- Monitor market trends and competitive information
Marketing:
- Develop world-wide marketing strategy (with the principle focus on the U.S. ) including marketing mix, advertising media mix and PR strategy (utilizing internal shared services when appropriate) to drive brand growth and build image and equity
- Own and manage insights-driven creative and marketing briefs, and lead go-to-market plans for new product launches, campaigns and activations
- Create programs that drive consumer loyalty and increase brand trust
- Develop and manage brand influencers and influencer strategies to drive brand visibility, sales and social media impressions
- Drive design of POS display material, product packaging, collaterals and other brand specific materials utilizing internal and external resources
- Ensures that the look of the website is consistent with the brand image
Product Design:
- Works with the merchandising team and leadership to produce segmentation and line plans
- Provide insights on design trends based on competitive information
JOB REQUIREMENTS *
- 10+ years’ experience in brand management
- 5+ years’ experience in building, leading and managing a team
- Track record of success in
- Developing brand identity and strategy and executing in the marketplace
- Providing creative thought partnership for product concepts
- Understanding and following emerging trends and consumer preferences
- Digital experience
- Strategic thinker comfortable in applying insights into action as well as being hands-on when needed
- Fluency in digital marketing including a clear understanding of building brands and communities in digital channels
- Exceptional presentation skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional, matrix organization
- Must be able to set priorities, solve problems and execute effectively
- Must be able to deal with ambiguity and manage vision
