Annual Salary Range: $150,000 - $160,000
Location: El Segundo, CA (Remote w/exception of designated days in-office)

We are seeking a Director of Creative Acquisition to work closely with performance marketing and digital creative teams to develop and execute campaign concepts. This person will identify best practices to drive customer acquisition and retention on various digital channels, including paid social, TV/OTT, display, and email. This position will bridge the ecommerce and design worlds, and ensure we are showing consumers the right content at the right time.
The ideal candidate understands the customer journey and knows how to meet customers where they are. This candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to think strategically about what drives interest and conversion. This person will partner with the digital creative teams to translate feedback into creative assets that prioritize marketing revenue goals while maintaining the brand voice and tone.
Collaborate with media team in the planning of digital assets, conceptualizing, and creating performance marketing ads that drive prospective users to click and convert on our ads.
- Work closely with the digital editing teams & designers to strategically think about business problems and create strong direct response copy-led ads that effectively communicate the message and goal required by the marketing team
- Collaborate with media buying team to leverage data and learnings to optimize creative strategy and messaging
- Independently generate ideas that impact the company’s ability to convert customers
- Be curious, analytical, and consistently look for new ways to promote Kind Science with our audience through impactful founder, creator & product content
- Research, analyze and develop a deep understanding of how customers engage with Kind Science throughout the marketing funnel and generate creative hypotheses to improve & personalize it
- Analyze multi-touch attribution touchpoints to develop a perspective on creative sequencing across platforms and implement and manage gameplan on how to iterate & improve it
- Analyze market trends to inform targeted awareness and DR programs for customers
- Help shape and manage the strategic & creative output of growth channels, guiding growth creative campaigns from inception to production to design, and ensure that content is backed by data and insights, leveraging best practices by channels
- Be primary liaison between Growth and Design, acting as the leading voice on the do’s/don’ts of digital creative, and linking Growth & Brand objectives
- Use broader knowledge about the digital landscape to inform creative partners/broader groups on cutting edge media opportunities and generate “big swing” ideas
- Work with the acquisition team partners to A/B test landing pages that improve conversion rate for new customers based on where they’re coming from
- 7+ years of experience working in content / acquisition at a DTC company, with a heavy focus on creative performance
- Proven track record of ability to connect deeply to a customer through content
- Deep understanding of the mechanics behind growth marketing and how performance is measured & optimized across different attribution windows
- Robust knowledge of leading social ad platforms/networks and experience digesting data from multiple channel and ad types (Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest, TV/OTT, Email, etc.) to drive profitable growth
- Intimate knowledge of the full marketing funnel and how various channels interplay with one another, and ultimately drive ROI
- Excel power user & proficient with tools like Google Analytics, Tableau, in addition to ad platform reporting
- Ability to balance the macro & micro, digesting data to drive action out of insights
- Excellent executive communicator across all forums & mediums, with superb organizational skills
- Self-starter who can power through ambiguity and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up vibe environment.
Environmental, Psychological and Physiological Requirements:
- The work will be performed inside a multi-story office building with elevators and stairs.
- The person must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery and conference rooms.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a copy machine, printer and calculator
- Frequently communicates with employees who have inquiries.
- Ability to learn technical material and apply the knowledge to their work.
