Position Overview

The Arena Group is seeking a visionary and results-driven General Manager to spearhead our developing network supporting Creators and Influencers. You will be responsible for leading our creator-based social media division and establishing strong partnerships between influencers, sourcing in-house social media creators, and partnering with sales to deepen brand relationships. This role requires a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of influencer marketing, the ability to forge successful brand & influencer relationships while managing the P&L of a new business venture.

This role reports to the Head of Audience Development for The Arena Group.

The Arena Group's expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $200,000-$250,000K. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, education, experience and other factors permitted by law. The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group's total compensation and benefits available to its employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy Development: Build a comprehensive business strategy for the creator and influencer business segment, aligned with the overall goals and vision of the Arena Group.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to our media properties, understanding objectives and creating tailored influencer campaigns to meet their goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, along with individual creators and influencers to develop compelling branded content that resonates with audiences and delivers value to partners. Ensure that branded content aligns with the brand identity, values, and target market of both the Arena Group and the partnering brands.
  • Industry Trends and Innovation: Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies within the creator and influencer space. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation, including new revenue streams, strategic partnerships, and digital platforms, to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with creators, influencers, and talent agencies to expand and diversify the talent network. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and maximize the value delivered to clients.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Build and lead a high-performing team dedicated to the creator and influencer business. Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in influencer marketing and building a network of creators in a leadership role is required.
  • Experience in managing a business P&L at an organizational level.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and executing influencer marketing campaigns that drive measurable results.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with influencers, creators, and brands.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Experience in working with revenue/marketing and other key stakeholders to effectively monetize creator campaigns/partnerships at scale
  • Proficient in using analytics tools to track campaign performance and generate insights.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their respective algorithms, trends, and best practices.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passionate about digital marketing, social media, and emerging trends in the industry.
