Director, Creative Communications Strategy
Job Summary: In support of GoodPop's ambition to become a household brand, we are looking for an inspirational, strategic creative and communicator; an entrepreneurial, audacious holistic thinker and brand strategist who can bring breakthrough concepts, narratives, creative, and ideas to the table and then help bring those ideas to life in a direct, relatable way. This person will predominantly be responsible for driving coverage for GoodPop through earned media, and will work closely with leadership to drive consistent communications across the business. This person will also integrate with Marketing team colleagues that manage digital, creative, social, and events, to amplify narratives across channels. Duties/Responsibilities: Act as an always-on creator of new concepts, narratives and campaigns, and partner with the GoodPop team to bring breakthrough communications to the consumer in a direct, relatable way Drive coverage of GoodPop through existing and planned new product launches, brand impact initiatives and brand partnerships, as well as through new ideas that this role is responsible for coming up with Responsible for executing earned media efforts, including copywriting, press release and media list development, building relationships with press, and pitching influential press across consumer, pop culture, business, non-profit, and trade Be an integral extension of the GoodPop Marketing team and work directly with the Director of Marketing & Innovation, Creative Director, and Social Media Manager, as well as the Director of Brand Impact and VP Sales. The role reports to the executive leadership team (COO / CEO) Additional responsibilities may include: partner with GoodPop leadership team to support internal communications and corporate communications; support implementation of GoodPop's LinkedIn strategy; work with Leadership Team to develop crisis communications playbook; identify speaking opportunities for GoodPop leadership Required Skills/Abilities: Ideally 7+ combined years of marketing and communications agency experience with consumer-facing clients, as well as in-house marketing experience Is super entrepreneurial, strategic, bold, audacious, and an independent thinker Is a creative and talented copywriter Has strong relationships with influential press, is comfortable with persistent media relations outreach, and has a history of securing meaningful press coverage Can sell ideas externally and internally, especially across executive leadership, Marketing and Sales
