The Specialist, Consumer Public Relations- Americas supports the global marketing communications team in the crafting, planning and implementation of PR and marketing communications strategies intended to drive brand relevancy, positive and impactful brand communications, and garner earned media across key global communications channels and platforms for our Americas region.

This position will report to the Director, Integrated Marketing – North America with a dotted line to the global PR team, and will be accountable for assisting with day-to-day tasks that support Crocs PR and Marketing Communications teams in North America. Roles and responsibilities will include facilitating media outreach, note taking and follow-up recaps for agency calls and internal meetings, securing and shipping samples, media and industry trend monitoring and reporting, drafting media materials, conducting research, event management, and briefing in PR asset needs.

The ideal candidate will have previous Public Relations experience, will be detail- and-deadline-oriented, and will be prepared to dive in to support a variety of tasks and projects that will support their team and channel peers. All candidates must exhibit a desire and motivation to learn, as well as the ability to work enthusiastically as part of a team.

What You'll Do

  • Facilitates monthly and ad hoc listening and reporting exercises across key brand, product, industry and trending news topics.
  • Provides day-to-day support for media inquiries around product information or samples.
  • Assists in drafting media materials including, press releases, media briefings, fact sheets and pitch documents, etc.
  • Supporting marketing team on messaging and key asset needs.
  • Facilitates briefing and development of assets with the creative team, facilitates content sharing through the digital asset management system.
  • Coordinates product sample needs and shipments for media and key influencer or brand fans.
  • Supports broader marketing communications team as needed (meeting coordination, note-taking, etc.)
  • Event management for media previews and engagements.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Approximately 2+ years of applicable experience
  • Understanding of the media landscape, pays attention to key trends and emerging opportunities
  • Understanding of the basics of Public Relations strategy and mass communications
  • Agency or agency management experience a plus
  • Fundamental writing, research, communications and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to promptly and professionally respond to and manage communications and inquiries
  • A self-starter who is eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage timelines to ensure all projects and tasks are meeting key deadlines
  • Previous experience or internship in public relations, communications or brand marketing preferred
