Social Media Analyst – League and Influencer Social (External Agency)
Job Description
Overview /Objective
The National Football League’s Social & Influence Marketing team is looking for a Social Media Analyst who can support the team with analysis and insights around the League and Influencer social programs. The ideal candidate will work heavily in reporting while having a passion for storytelling around social data. The candidate must also be able to support various team members to collectively dissect data sets for findings.
Responsibilities
- Lead NFL Social – League reporting by utilizing social platform and 3rd party data
- Perform deep dive analyses to help uncover changes in user / platform behavior and to inform NFL Social’s data-driven programming
- Lead overall Influencer / creator tracking and reporting
- Identify and report on social trends among all influencers and creators that work with the NFL
- Catalog content with appropriate tags for analysis and reporting
- Monitor and track outcomes of League campaigns across various social media platforms. Maintain thorough, accurate, and organized documentation for various workflows
- Digest and analyze large data sets to find trends and key learnings
- Assist with the development and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly reports based on results.
- Work closely with partners / social platforms to advocate for social data considerations and advancements
- Present findings to internal and external groups
- Contribute to the NFL’s Social Listening program when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- BS or BA in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred
- Advanced understanding of all Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Thorough understanding of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends during NFL gamedays or during League events (e.g. Combine, Draft)
- Must be able to work holidays depending on NFL game schedule (including but not limited to Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)
- Experience with social analytics tools such as Talkwalker, Emplifi, Socialie, platform tools, etc.
- 1-3 years of experience with social analytics / social listening

- Experience with turning data into compelling stories
- Ability to synthesize large sets of data and deliver insightful and actionable recommendations

- This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
