Director, Consumer Engagement
Location: In Office 5 days/week in LA office

Who We Are Looking For:
A digital marketing leader who will drive strategy for two brands; Thrive Causemetics (cosmetics) and Bigger Than Beauty (skincare), on owned social media content, influencer and community management, as well as eventing and outreach. This person will oversee the planning, execution and measurement of brand owned social and advocacy channels, help build content plans for all owned channels, and identify new social opportunities and execution. Collaboration is key in this role, which sits within the Marketing team and will work closely with the growth, creative, product marketing, giving, and customer service teams to fuel the digital conversation with our community. This person will be an integral part of the team, with great leadership skills, and will bring innovative thinking to all marketing campaigns by playing a pivotal role in the overall growth and awareness of the brand. There will be a team of 5 direct reports under this role.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the consumer engagement strategy on all social media channels
- Develop overall strategy for social media, content, influencer marketing and community management
- Develop KPIs and reporting to analyze performance and ROI
- Build and support holistic marketing plans for new launches and maintaining core
- Create internal partnerships with cross functional teams to maximize on consumer engagement and content (i.e. Customer Experience, Produce Marketing, Product Development, Creative, Giving)
- Manage the development of the content calendar across all social platforms to support “always on” evergreen content, campaigns needs, giving programs and partnership needs
- Strengthen all social, influencer and PR outlets by developing engaging content specific to Thrive Causemetics
- Create and lead media and PR programs and relationships to increase engagement and awareness
- Lead eventing on all channels to develop effective relationships to drive brand love and enhancing
- Develop a stream of UGC for organic content
- Stay up to date on trend and competition - especially in new platform innovations
- Manage strategic partnership activations, including sourcing, negotiating, implementation, activation and press coverage
- Oversee development of all press materials
What will make you stand out:
- Passionate about the Thrive Causemetics brand and mission
- 7+ years experience in social, brand-building, content and digital experience (within beauty a plus)
- Accomplished in leading strategy on social marketing, influencer marketing, and brand awareness activations
- Strong content development experience with ability to discern and plan content needs by channel
- Comfortable flexing between high-level planning and detailed execution
- Must be a leader with proven track record in managing a team efficiently and effectively
- Extremely detail-oriented, with a strong creative side
- Organized with operational knowledge of planning tools, such as Dash Hudson or Asana
- Strategic thinker with a keen understanding of analytics and social reporting, such as Traacker and Melt Water
- Experience across all social media platforms including emerging channels and international platforms including but not limited to: TikTok, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environmentBA/BS required or equivalent experience

The base pay range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000, with the following factors determining the base pay at offer: skills, qualifications, experience. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. Additionally, this role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
