GENERAL FUNCTION

The position is responsible for the success and growth of direct programs operations in North America. Focused on employee engagement and standardization of regional and national program models, they will develop and leverage industry knowledge to build strategies, gain buy-in from leadership and key stakeholders, manage related business initiatives, and lead individual program teams and events in support of key performance measures. The position will build program plans, identify risks, define the Foundation’s competitive positioning, and negotiate/maintain relationships with identified prospects and partners, under the general direction of the Director, Programming.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Responsible to plan, budget, execute, and report on direct programs activities, including all managerial duties of regional and national program teams as applicable.
  • Ensure goals/metrics align and exceed stakeholder commitments and expectations. Brief management proactively on respective metrics and KPIs and lead solutions to address or remedy any shortcomings.
  • Establish team goals and develop strategies to achieve program KPIs.
  • Directly manage team of Program Managers; provide direct feedback to program managers on annual performance, and as needed to support growth and results.
  • Actively lead the proposal process for new operational partners, including strategic vision, solution and execution roadmap, negotiation. Develop and maintain all agreements with partners.
  • Build and routinely update business plans based on knowledge of the industry, emerging needs, and Foundation’s offerings that provide a forward-looking view of the next 1-3 years.
  • Develop, maintain, and train on SOPs and checklists by role/task and identify efficiencies and improvements for program models.
  • Initiate roll-out plans and lead change management across program models for activities such as marketing campaigns, IT enhancements, improved procedures, etc.
  • Partners with Operations Managers to coordinate doctor and volunteer resources for events.
  • Maintains broad knowledge of the Foundation’s solutions and capabilities versus the strengths/weaknesses of competitive solutions and products.
  • Ensure program screening and exam protocols, techniques, and equipment are utilized in accordance with all federal, state, and local requirements, and are consistent with the policies of the Foundation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree, or equivalent industry experience required
  • 5+ years program development and management / leadership experience required
  • 4-6 years of non-profit experience preferred
  • 4-6 years of managing teams
  • 3-5 year experience with CRM software including report development and generation
  • Experience with data standards (FERPA, HIPAA)
  • Experience creating and executing strategic business plans
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and manage complex relationships
  • Experience facilitating and leading working sessions with internal and external stakeholders and executives
  • Strong executive presence and influencer skills
  • Ability to lead and maintain off-site teams
  • Analytical, problem solving, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Highly developed and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel required up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Optical, healthcare, and/or retail industry experience preferred
  • MBA preferred

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
