It’s with this strong heritage and proud past that we aim to set ourselves up for a promising future as we prepare for continued growth, both in our traditional retail stores and within the ecommerce space. TRP proudly serves customers through 27 brick & mortar locations and two e-tail websites, TheRoomPlace.com and Apt2B.com. To match the growth of the omnichannel retail environment, TRP is launching two new ecommerce brands. Position Summary:

It’s with this in mind that TRP is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager or a Digital Marketing Strategist to work within the Brand & Ecommerce team. This individual will bring a best-in-class business, technology, and user experience mindset to the table, propelling all TRP brands forward as the subject matter expert (SME) on TRP digital marketing strategies.

At a high level, this role works with the Director of Brand & Ecommerce to build and implement an overarching digital marketing growth strategy across our TRP brands and their various marketing channels. The ideal candidate is consumer-focused and puts our customers at the forefront of everything you do. You will:

  • Serve as the SME for TRP digital marketing strategies, planning for how they can achieve business goals, promote desired consumer engagement, and drive revenue through a multi-channel, data-driven approach.
  • Demonstrate experience in leveraging digital trends, economic indicators, tools, and technologies to develop marketing plans designed to resonate with consumers in digital channels.
  • Own the measurement and reporting of the performance of all digital marketing campaigns in each channel.

This position works directly with several internal and external partners, including but not limited to brand marketing, ecommerce, creative, and agency partners. In addition, you’ll be working cross-functionally across several brands and teams to execute these digital marketing strategies, so effective collaboration and communication skills are crucial.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work with leadership and other functional areas of the business to develop multi-channel digital marketing campaigns based on strategic planning and the desire to promote brand awareness and product assortment.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and manage digital marketing projects between collaborative teams and agency partners.
  • Lead digital strategy execution, developing necessary content briefs and digital marketing calendars.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to drive traffic to TRP properties via optimization, retargeting, and through affiliate marketing, email, and SMS strategy.
  • Ensure that brand voice and standards are upheld for each individual TRP brand in all consumer-facing content.
  • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for TRP’s digital marketing agency, Dragon Army, ensuring all deliverables are met and campaigns are executed effectively and within budget.
  • Employ an analytical mindset, utilizing data and digital marketing trends to evaluate top to bottom performance indicators, and then planning and executing conversion tests and new ideas for driving revenue.
  • Manage user-generated content and ratings and reviews for TRP brands via TrustPilot and Pixlee TurnTo.
  • Execute organic social media for TRP brands, utilizing Dragon Army’s strategy and recommendations as a guide.
  • Research, recommend, and execute influencer engagement activities.
  • Execute and build upon content for digital media (blog posts coming from Dragon Army) per brand, understanding how to adjust voice, tone, and style based on brand and audience.
  • Measure and report on any owned digital marketing strategy execution or results.
  • Complete a regular analysis of websites and social activity across the home furnishing industry through social listening and audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in digital marketing, advertising, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing teams and agency partners in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience prioritizing multiple brands and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and content management systems like Hootsuite or Sprout Social.
  • A solid understanding of web and ecommerce tools such as Adobe Commerce, JIRA, Confluence, and Salsify, and ratings and reviews tools such as Bazaarvoice or Pixlee/TurnTo.
  • Experience in email and SMS marketing; experience with tools such as Emarsys, Klayvio, and Attentive a plus.
  • Proven track record of exemplary cross-functional leadership and collaboration with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience presenting to C-suite level executives.
