About The Role
The Project Management Office at Ogilvy Health is responsible for project execution, process improvement, budget management and resource management across the agency. Our Project Managers help to assemble and lead interdisciplinary teams, ensure adherence to workflow, schedules and budgets, and deliver with excellence for our clients. We are looking for a Director of Project Management to lead a book of business consisting of several brands and clients. The ideal candidate has a big-picture mindset, loves to solve problems creatively, pushes for continual process improvement, and has strong digital and financial management skills.
What You’ll Do
- Manage $15MM+ of business across a range of multi-channel client engagements in pharmaceutical, health, and wellness categories
- Acts as a role model for project management and PMO capabilities across agency; shares knowledge, explains processes and provides training as needed
- Mentors, trains and directly supervise junior and senior PM team members, including managing their workload, work product and successful project delivery
- Collaborates with PMO leadership on the design, documentation and training for all agency delivery processes and systems
- Serves as point of escalation for direct reports and cross-functional teams for Project Management expertise
- Maintains high-performing team dynamics through empathy, trust, communication, and collaboration
- Draft and supervise drafting of statements of work, budget estimates and timelines for multi-channel programs
- Partners with account leads in accurately forecasting staff utilization and revenue recognition
- Manages financial aspects of programs in their book of business, and is accountable for their teams delivering projects within budget
- Communicates and manages prioritization of work for key resources, filters requests and assigns as needed
- Perform a client-facing role for existing clients or new business opportunities as needed, participating in high-level planning meetings and attending key client meetings as project management SME (subject matter expert).
- Suggests ways to leverage internal expertise, learn from past successes or failures, and take advantage of synergies across clients
What You'll Need
- 8+ years agency project management experience, specifically within healthcare communications, advertising, or medical communications
- Extensive experience managing and executing digital projects
- Strong financial skills and experience managing client budgets $10M+
- Previous people management experience
