Social Media Manager, Content Producer - Hybrid In Office/Work at Home

Job Purpose:
Support Best Western Hotels & Resorts strategic communications initiatives by planning, developing and distributing brand communications via social media and other brand marketing projects in the traditional and digital space.
Essential Job Results:
- Manage and execute the social media marketing calendar for multiple owned brand channels across Instagram, Facebook,TikTok, LinkedIn, and others.
- Lead content production (writing, photo and video editing) for social media channels and other Brand Marketing department needs.
- Project manage the creative process for social media and other brand marketing communications projects through a mix of internal resources and external vendors.
- Help source and manage existing influencer partnerships to experience Best Western and help guide the storytelling of key campaign messages to their audiences.
- Stay current and educated on platform updates and new social media opportunities to reach our audience.
- Research and understand how competitors use social media marketing.
- Brainstorm and develop innovative social content and campaign ideas that achieve marketing goals.
- Monitor all platforms to ensure consistent communication with audiences across multiple brands.
- Analyze post and campaign effectiveness through analysis and make recommendations for future campaigns.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to anticipate roadblocks and come up with alternative solutions quickly.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively across other teams and departments.
- Strong aesthetic sense and an eye for creative, including visual assets, key messaging and execution.
- Passion for social media with strong knowledge of social media platforms.
- Strong organizational and analytics skills.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast pace and deadline oriented environment.
- Work with our internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop content for monthly brand communications.
- Proficient in all MS Office programs.
Experience
- 2-5 years related experience in social media management and/or marketing. Prior experience in the travel, hospitality, luxury lifestyle or related fields a plus
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Excellent writing, editing and research skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines under pressure; strong time management skills.
- Well-versed in all social media and respective networking tools.
- Strong commitment to team and with a service oriented mind-set (this is hospitality after all…)
- Strong follow-through as well as being detail oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Proactive with a mindset for problem solving.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
