The Role

Amperity is looking to hire a creative and experienced Social Media Manager who can own social media across Linkedin, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, plus other channels in the future. The ideal candidate works at the speed of light, is 100% dialed-in to B2B internet culture, and doesn’t just surf existing trends but starts them.

We’re looking for a highly creative person who can produce and execute an in-depth content calendar while managing the daily operations of Amperity’s social program in a way that elevates our brand. Strong social copywriting skills are a must, with the ability to develop channel-specific copy for various audiences. Design skills to create social media graphics and videos are a major plus.

The Social Media Manager will work closely with our brand, communications, and demand generation teams to deliver meaningful social messaging and creative across all owned channels that increase brand awareness and drive engagement on Amperity.com. This person will ultimately be responsible for the strategy, metrics, and outcomes of all social channels in an efficient and cost effective manner. Key traits of the successful candidate include being a team player, a willingness to roll up their sleeves, and a commitment to creative ideation and testing at scale.

Interesting Problems

  • Own the strategy, execution, and results for all social media channels. This includes managing day-to-day operations, content development, and a social content calendar for consistent scheduling/publishing.
  • Build brand awareness, amplify thought leadership, and grow our audience through engagement and community management while maintaining Amperity’s consistent voice, personality, look, and feel across current and future social channels.
  • Drive employee advocacy across our social channels and evolve our processes and programs to further grow our employee activation on social media.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on engagement and growth metrics providing regular reports to leadership. You will develop actionable insights to optimize our social channels and influence business decisions and content strategy.
  • Monitor mentions of Amperity and work with content & communications teams to develop on-brand responses.
  • Bring new and big ideas to the table with a digital/ social first mindset.
  • Keep an eye on trending memes, hashtags, industry developments, and social holidays to inform content production.
  • Collaborate with campaign and messaging owners to continuously evaluate and improve the customer journeys across social media.

About You

  • 5+ years of marketing experience
  • 2+ years experience working in B2B SaaS
  • 3+ years of social media management experience, with an emphasis on owning content and messaging across social channels and implementing success metrics
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Data-driven approach and proficiency in social metrics with a proven track record
  • Excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills; ability to craft narrative; comfortable translating complex concepts into compelling copy (be prepared to share social-post-length and blog-length writing samples and complete a writing assessment)
  • Self-starter mentality and track-record for clever B2B social ideas with desire to identify opportunities for strategic brand involvement
  • Experience providing creative feedback for social content that is based on a solid understanding of social brand strategy
  • Highly collaborative with experience building and evangelizing social media practices for internal stakeholders
  • Extremely organized, diligent, detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment
  • Creator who is passionate about brand building, always looking ahead to the next social trend
  • Default to a solution and goal-oriented mindset
  • Ability to effectively work with tight deadlines and take direction when necessary
  • Preferred experience in Contentful and Sprout Social

Remote Available

Amperity has headquarters in Seattle and NYC. We are also currently hiring in CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TX (Subject to change).

Compensation

Base Salary: $84,000 - $126,000. This range reflects the good-faith hiring base salary range for this position. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.

Other Cash Incentives: For many of our positions, other cash incentives are also available.

Stock Options: The opportunity for ownership is an exciting part of Amperity's total compensation package. Every employee at Amperity receives a new-hire equity grant, commensurate with the scope of their position.
