Description
The Partner Channel Manager (PCM) serves as the primary business contact for named strategic partners at Vehlo. This role is responsible for developing and expanding existing partner relationships. The mission of this role is to drive new leads and subsequently new sales through strategic referral relationships. As a Partner Channel Manager, you will be responsible to work within the partner channels to educate the partner management and field sales teams, promote our products, and attend partner and industry events.
The PCM will leverage data-driven insights and a strong understanding of the partner’s goals to develop joint business growth plans with partner stakeholders. Responsibilities will include identifying, scoping, and executing growth initiatives via collaboration with marketing, sales, and product departments. Entrepreneurial and strategic thinking is critical to help define new partner programs and go-to-market implementations of Vehlo’s products. The PCM will work diligently to ensure that all parties are tracking to plan.
Additionally, the PCM will manage the resolution of business issues to ensure the overall health of our most strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Partner Relationships: Develop plans in collaboration with strategic partners to drive leads and sales to Vehlo portfolio companies. Identify key stakeholders within the partner organizations and develop strong relationships with these stakeholders. Drive accountability from both organizations by creating and presenting quarterly business reviews.
- Utilize internal CRM tools - Ensure the timely/accurate recording, tracking and reporting of all sales activities and customer/competitive information through ongoing usage of internal CRM tools (Salesforce).
- Attend industry events: Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. Planned travel is expected to be once per month for 2-5 business days at a time.
- Relationship Management - Develop a plan to drive sales and retention with each partner with the level of engagement in accordance with each company’s partnership level. Manage projects, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals.
- Communication - Facilitate coordination and communication between partners and the other departments within Vehlo as needed. Ensure service issues that are escalated are routed to the appropriate personnel and are handled promptly.
- Be an expert – Study, test, challenge, and suggest improvements to Vehlo’s product offerings. Continuously develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competition and Vehlo’s products.
- Provide strategic input - Analyze market trends and gather competitive information; identify trends that affect current and future growth. Assist in the development of strategic plans for sales and marketing activity, tradeshows, legal agreements, and overall growth of the organization.
- Cross-sell Vehlo - Identify situations where another Vehlo company can be recommended to serve the partner or client’s needs.
Qualifications
Qualifications, Strengths, and Skills
- Four (4) year university degree or college diploma with a high level of business acumen and or equivalent experience required
- Five years proven track record in B2B sales, ideally merchant services or SAAS. Experience with enterprise partnerships and national accounts is preferred. However, the aptitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-changing environment are important.
- Automotive parts or service background is a positive
- Ability to manage multiple projects and relationships simultaneously
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis software.
- Technical skills required to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on client requirements.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Listening, communication, and presentation skills
- A polite, friendly and diplomatic manner and a good sense of humor
- Strong experience with CRM ecosystems and tools - Salesforce experience preferred
- Strong influencer skills, self-starter, outgoing and motivated
