As a creative marketer with an eye for compelling content, strong word-play and skillfully savvy on social, you will grow the Harlem Globetrotters and future brands by making social media and YouTube an entertainment destination.

This full-time position will report to the Sr. Director, Digital Marketing at our Corporate Office in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.

Key responsibilities for the role:

  • Be the voice of the brand on social media turning viewers into followers, followers into fans
  • Evaluate and strengthen our social strategy to increase followers and boost audience engagement on all platforms
  • Develop creative social programs and promotions to drive channel growth and audience engagement
  • Day-to-day lead for all social and YouTube content calendar planning and publishing utilizing social management tools such as Sprout Social
  • Collaborate with YouTube strategic partners on content planning, reviews and cross-promotion on social platforms as appropriate
  • Work closely with player talent and other influencers on co-marketing content opportunities across social and YouTube
  • Manage UGC content marketing tools to acquire and aggregate content for social and other digital platform usage
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop social content for strategic partners, sponsors, merchandise, etc.
  • Video and photo editing capabilities for creation of social content
  • Content storage management housing raw and produced assets ensuring accessibility to upload and extract files
  • Serves as a content creator for social platforms
  • Manage performance reporting based on set KPIs

Requirements:

  • Have a genuine passion for social media
  • Speak the language of virality and basketball with equal fluency
  • Understand the ecosystem and demonstrate the ability to grow subscribership
  • Creative thinker who can create original/social-only “stories” and other content for engagement
  • A creative writer with wit and personality that can flex to fit the space and embodies the right voice of the brand
  • Video and photo editing capabilities using various current and emerging tools
  • Excellent communication, cross-group collaboration, and planning skills
  • Proficiency in the analytics platforms of YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, FB, Twitter
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and able to look at data to tell a story and pick out trends
  • Ability to present social strategies and business results to senior leadership
  • Someone with a mastery of both SEO and social optimization.
  • Insatiable curiosity and a sense of humor
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital media or marketing
  • Sports / Video Production or Digital journalism background a plus
