Content Marketing Manager

The Role
The Content Marketing Manager will develop messaging and copy to better describe our company, strengths, and solutions to our NuHarbor prospects and customers. You will partner cross-functionally to create content that is relevant to our audience and their journey and will capitalize on opportunities to generate assets and elements that can be repurposed or reused. Content will educate, explain, and engage customers, prospects, and partners.
You will be the editor and evaluator of NuHarbor's public facing content, operating as both creator and reviewer of these assets. Your efforts will be core to our public perception and the emergence of NuHarbor as an expert and interesting voice in the security marketplace.
What you'll do
- Write and edit high-quality, original copy that addresses desired security outcomes and positively influences customer consideration, purchase decisions and supports loyalty and satisfaction
- Develop and execute content strategies aligned with the organization's marketing objectives and target audience
- Identify content opportunities and trends to maximize audience engagement and reach
- Provide guidance about optimal formats/approaches for solution specific content as well as public facing content
- Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable content
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information, verify technical details, and ensure the accuracy of the content
- Update and extend existing content when new information or capabilities arise
- Maintain high editorial standards, ensuring accuracy, quality, and a consistent look and feel throughout content
- Look for opportunities to refresh and adapt content to different channels and formats while maintaining consistency and brand voice
- Support content generation by other NuHarbor Crew members where required or requested
- Evaluate product and market conditions, looking for interesting angles and perspectives to drive traffic and engagement on the NuHarbor website
- Work with sales, product, and operations team members to create robust and accurate answers to common questions, particularly those present in RFP's and RFI's
Your foundation. The requirements for this role:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field
- We are always open to proven success and experience in lieu of a degree
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, communications or related field
- Demonstrable experience creating interesting and engaging technology-related content for an executive-level audience
- Extensive experience in business, technical and/or creative writing where assignments were completed with tight deadlines and with high quality
- Understanding of marketing analytics and ability to utilize data to optimize content
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects
- Proven success working cross-functionally to achieve a common outcome
- Ability to excel independently, researching, drafting, and delivering written content for review

Additional capabilities that will differentiate you for this role:
- Experience translating technical and/or complicated information into clear, concise documents appropriate for various target audiences
- Excitement for learning about cybersecurity to help to change the conversation from technical capabilities to value
- Well-versed conducting interviews with subject matter experts and technical staff to collect information, prepare written text, and coordinate layout and material organization
- Capable of directly pressing subject matter experts to illuminate clear responses and clarifications where required to address customer knowledge and experience limitations
- Ability to research information on security topics, trends, and industry happenings
- Solid experience reviewing, critiquing, and editing documentation including client reports and deliverables
