Scopely is looking for a dynamic, creative, and community-driven Head of Community/Influencers to shape the online social landscape for our upcoming AAA game release. This crucial role will center around cultivating a vibrant, engaged player community and establishing robust relationships with influencers and content creators in the gaming industry. Reporting directly to the Head of Growth & Marketing, this role will work in tandem with Marketing and Live Ops peers to launch and sustain an influencer marketing strategy that stimulates player engagement, boosts game adoption, and fosters a thriving ecosystem around our free-to-play game. The ideal candidate is proactive, has a deep understanding of the gaming culture, and possesses a natural ability to communicate and connect with diverse online communities. Your knack for spotting and capitalizing on trends in the gaming world and the emerging blockchain technology will be instrumental in creating a player-owned universe that's interactive, exciting, and captivating. By combining your passion for gaming with your community building skills, you'll cultivate an environment that encourages player engagement, identity expression, and a sense of belonging for fans of our game's sports entertainment IP.

Responsibilities / Role:

  • Develop and execute a robust community and influencer strategy that aligns with our game’s brand identity and broader marketing goals.
  • Establish and manage the community & influencer team with tactical tasks such as day-to-day community engagement and moderation, while focusing on strategic elements like relationship building with influencers and content creators, and overall community growth.
  • Mentor the community & influencer leads and their team members to develop their careers.,
  • Coach your team to create strategies to develop high quality influencer campaigns and tactics to grow our influencer efforts through both paid and earned media
  • Coach your team on using a data-informed approach to drive positive ROI across Digital
  • Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to create captivating content that resonates with our player community and promotes the game.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Live Ops peers to ensure the community's voice is integral to marketing and promotional initiatives.
  • Deliver a quality post-mortems and influencer sentiment reports that give insight into the player experience and helps prioritize solutions to topics causing negative sentiment
  • Hire Influencer Managers and partner with top quality agencies to support our efforts
  • Leverage emerging technologies, such as blockchain, to create unique in-game and out-of-game experiences that delight and retain players.

Preferred Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in the mass market global gaming industry, 5+ years with a proven track record in developing and executing community and influencer strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in analyzing and interpreting community engagement metrics, and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • A solid understanding of Influencer KPIs and a track record of driving positive ROI
  • Deep understanding of the free-to-play landscape, player behavior, and understanding of current gaming trends.
  • Experience managing game community and influencer management
  • Team player - able to effectively engage stakeholders, agencies, partners & community members – able to hear, process, and respond to feedback to produce creative solutions to meet their needs.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing, Live Ops, Production, Engineering, and external IP stakeholders.
  • Able to travel as required both globally and domestically
  • Familiarity (non-technical) with blockchain technology/NFTs, and potential applications in gaming is a plus

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $146,300- $240,000, plus equity, bonus and benefits including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time-off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
