Business Development Representative - Marketplace Technology

Within our technology portfolio, the Nasdaq Risk Platform (NRP) provides market risk infrastructure to minimize risk and optimize balance sheet liquidity across global markets. Regulators’ interest in risk controls has created requirements for market participants to bolster risk management capabilities, but managing risk across the entire trading and clearing landscape presents significant challenges. Our cloud-based risk platform is built as a single point of access to overcome these challenges.

As a Business Development Representative, you will integrate directly into an experienced team of sales leaders in the Americas and European regions, collaborating and executing to build net new pipeline for our Risk Platform business. In addition, you will work hand in hand with our marketing team to execute our outbound lead generation and analytics. You will have a great opportunity for growth on a new and expanding team within Nasdaq.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly into the Head of Sales Operations, based in Nasdaq’s Chicago office
  • Supporting the Head of NRP Sales in both the Americas and Europe by strategically identifying key growth opportunities and target prospects
  • Identifying opportunities across client segments, building and maintaining client and prospect lists to drive net new business for NRP
  • Networking and contacting prospective clients via email, phone and other means
  • Evaluate and action potential sales opportunities generated through outbound channels
  • Generate segment and account plans for key targets in partnership with marketing and sales
  • Collaborate with marketing to qualify marketing generated leads
  • Aggregate and analyze feedback from sales to implement into inbound and outbound activities
  • Implement a competitive intelligence strategy for new and emerging competitors
  • Maintain Salesforce data and account integrity and hygiene
  • Managing campaign lists for each region. Maintain and ensure outbound activity to appropriate targets across the region.
  • Leverage our Tech Stack including 6Sense, Outreach.io, Zoominfo, Drift, Equilar and G2 Buyer Intent.

Success Criteria

  • Hard work, enthusiasm and a curiosity to learn
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across functional teams
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented
  • Highly proficient in Office 365 (Excel + PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with CRM software / sales technology a big plus
  • Prior business development or sales experience a plus
