Ruder Finn is seeking an experienced Vice President of Digital to join our growing Digital practice and provide strategic counsel to our clients. As a Vice President, you will own social strategy, lead campaign development, and oversee the creation and execution of strategic digital content and influencer campaigns, supporting a diverse set of clients in the healthcare, tech, and consumer space. This individual will display a full understanding of digital and social channels, data analysis, paid media and will lead integrated programs from ideation to execution.
As a Vice President, you will be at the forefront of the organization and play a vital role in future company success, including new business. Building strong client relationships and driving growth within an agency environment, as well as a strong record of developing actionable and profitable strategies that also drive business growth and brand equity for your clients. This role will allow for growth as well as the opportunity to submerge your creativity and leadership skills into key campaigns for the most desired client accounts in the digital space.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic thinking as a key input to campaign planning that includes, but not limited to: Social Media Activations, Influencer Marketing, Application of Insights for Ideation through Planning
- Lead and manage the execution of strategies and ongoing management of campaigns as part of an integrated team
- Ability to represent and articulate digital ideas with internal and external stakeholders
- Delivering an excellent level of client service by articulating client digital needs to senior managers, updating on digital project status and priorities, and ensuring seamless workflow and communication among all team members
- Ability to plan and manage social media programs from research to insights and planning
- Development of end-to-end influencer marketing that drives audiences through the funnel
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior and mid‐level talent by identifying skills and teaching best in‐class digital strategies
- Lead content integration across digital channels and platforms with other technologies as opportunities identified
- Inspire and galvanize teams to produce and ideate meaningful creative ideas that help drive communications and business objectives
- Stay up to date on evolving digital best practices, new channel opportunities and emerging trends that can be applied to campaigns to help drive business outcomes
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8+ years of experience within social media, working in an integrated capacity, with cross-functional teams (e.g., earned media, social media, influencer, paid, digital marketing, analytics and creative teams)
- Experience with integrated agency team structure
- Knowledge of the consumer, healthcare or B2B industries
- Previous management of budget responsibilities of more than $1MM
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field preferred
- A passion for digital marketing and the ability to utilize new industry trends to coordinate digital campaigns
- Knowledge of paid media strategy and execution social listening, influencer marketing, data analysis, and insights reporting
- Experience in overseeing campaigns with strong data proof points tied to client business outcomes
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work across multiple high‐profile and high budget programs in a fast‐paced, consistently changing environment
- Ability to multitask and operate with flexibility in a fast‐paced environment to meet tight deadlines
- Proven experience managing and coaching a team
- Understanding of earned media, content, and analytics is high priority
- Performance/ecommerce campaign experience a plus
- Experience in and contribution to new business
