Role Description

Our marketing manager and brand specialist will lead an exciting new inbound marketing campaign designed to drive leads for potential new SigEp members on 200 campuses across the United States. This person is a talented lead generator with skills in thoughtful brand management. The best candidate for this role will bring a powerful mix of implementation, ideation and customer-facing brand. Success in this role will increase SigEp’s nationwide impact by attracting more high-quality members. Overall, our marketing manager and brand specialist is a key member to the growth and success of the organization.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Implement a new national inbound marketing campaign designed to drive interest in SigEp among high school students and key stakeholder groups, resulting in increased potential new member leads
  • Grow new leads through tactics such as social media advertising, SEO/SEM strategies, email automation, influencer marketing, and partnership outreach
  • Measure and optimize lead nurturing processes through email, content marketing and social media channels
  • Serve as the organization’s brand specialist, working to evolve and champion the SigEp brand over time with an eye toward lead generation and nurturing
  • Conduct a brand audit to identify needs for updating SigEp’s brand identity and positioning, and plan, lead and execute any work related to rebranding elements
  • Guide the development and positioning of sub-brands, including SigEp’s programs, events, support services and fundraising initiatives
  • Enhance and lead efforts around visual storytelling, and guide execution of design and video to align with SigEp’s brand
  • Serve as the primary strategist for SigEp’s national and chapter websites, update it regularly and evolve our web presence over time
  • Perform competitive research to understand what’s happening in the market, and incorporate findings into campaigns for better results
  • Collaborate with critical internal and external stakeholders toward further buy-in and execution of SigEp’s inbound marketing and branding efforts
  • As a member of the marketing and communications team, write and edit web content, blog posts, social media content, magazine articles, etc. to deliver on marketing needs

Skills

  • Inbound marketing and lead generation strategy and implementation
  • Brand management strategy
  • Significant experience in campaign execution, paid social media marketing, web content management and SEO
  • Comfortable with leading and implementing new marketing initiatives in a highly collaborative environment
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Managing visual storytelling (video and photo)
  • Strong skills in project management, ideation, multi-tasking, critical thinking, writing and editing
  • Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve

Experience Requirements

  • Proven results in inbound marketing and lead generation
  • Experience in brand management
  • At least four years of relevant professional experience or equivalent education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in working with a CRM (Salesforce or similar)
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office

Preferred Experience

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement/Pardot (or similar), Wordpress (or similar), Google Workspace and/or HTML/CSS
  • Experience with higher education and/or fraternities/sororities

  • Salary: $65,000 – $70,000
  • Incentive compensation: $5,000

Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp) was founded on November 1, 1901 at the University of Richmond. Since that date, SigEp has grown to become one of the largest college fraternities in the country.

Annually SigEp boasts an undergraduate membership of nearly 12,000 students in chapters located at almost 200 college campuses within the United States. These current undergraduates are among the more than 350,000 brothers who have joined since 1901.
