Your ability to help create powerful content strategies that inspire customers, donors, and advocates has the opportunity to create generational and cultural change for women survivors of trafficking and exploitation.

This position will lead the advertising, email marketing, and social media initiatives, in collaboration with colleagues within eCommerce, Design, and Communications, to attract, engage, convert, and retain customers, donors, and supporters.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership & Development

  • Setting healthy expectations for turnaround and workload, to support work-life balance.
  • Bring out the best in each team member through positive affirmations and constructive coaching.

Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and lead strategic omnichannel marketing plans that will deliver a consistent, unified customer experience at every touchpoint (online, shop, café, etc.) to drive social enterprise and donations revenue.
  • Coordinate Marketing Team to align content, creative, scheduling, reporting, and optimization for email, SMS, social, traditional advertising, events, and influencers.
  • Spearhead messaging for Promotions, Launches, Holidays, Flash Sales, and Days of Observation (International Women’s Day, etc), and other campaigns.
  • Actively communicate purchase impact and stewardship through messaging and marketing tactics.
  • Development of brand content strategies and social impact messaging that captures the essence of our story and will drive customer/donor acquisition and retention.
  • Develop and manage marketing budget.
  • Coordinate monthly and campaign-level reports to gather learnings and optimization opportunities.

Advertising Strategy

  • Secure advertising opportunities to help reach new audiences both locally and nationally.
  • Maximize a lean budget through negotiation and probono partnerships.
  • Lead strategic components of influencer marketing strategy with the Social Media Strategist.
  • Leverage UTM and other tracking methods to determine the effectiveness of major advertising tactics.
  • Measure the lifetime value of customers across different marketing activities to determine what activities and personas net the most loyal customers.

Audience Growth, Insights and Engagement

  • As primary steward of our audience growth and retention, set and achieve growth and engagement metrics.
  • Maintain expertise in all relevant marketing toolsets - including our ESP and CRM - to facilitate profiles, segmentation, personalization, optimization, A/B testing, and reporting.
  • Ensure use of best practices and compliance around permission-based marketing and privacy regulations.
  • Compile a steady stream of audience analytics, including demographics, psychographics, and direct feedback via surveys and other tools to help guide internal strategy and messaging.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Advertising.
  • Proven ability as a leader who can build team leadership skills and develop marketing talent.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in marketing with proven success.
  • Should be a proactive self-starter with a strong ability to set priorities and solve problems.
  • Experience with email marketing, marketing automation, and CRMs.
  • Technically adept and experienced with online tools and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates humility, transparency, and integrity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

We are in our West Nashville office Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and work from home Tuesday and Friday, unless meetings or projects require an alternate schedule
