Reporting to the senior manager of Aeronautics Marketing Communications, the F-35 digital marketing specialist shapes and implements social and digital media strategy for the F-35 line of business. This individual is experienced in social and digital media, actively explores industry trends, introduces innovative executions, and helps to build influencer engagement. The focus of this role is to elevate our Lockheed Martin brand storytelling efforts in how we create and deliver compelling digital content to target audiences. This individual works with other team members to build integrated communications plans for capture and keep-sold campaigns; aligns efforts to the business and Communications strategy; and tracks and reports metrics for campaigns. Additionally, this individual collaborates with the Aeronautics social and digital team lead to shape the overall content strategy for F35.com.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage and execute the F-35 digital content strategy for the F-35 social media channels and Lockheed Martin global channels.
  • Provide digital marketing counsel and recommendations to advance F-35 capture and keep-sold campaigns.
  • Optimize performance of digital content by applying key insights and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with visual communicators to explore and adopt innovative ways to tell the F-35 story and connect to broader Lockheed Martin narratives.
  • Lead the Aeronautics LOB Mini-Team for F-35 to ensure proactive planning, message alignment and full engagement by the team in the content development process.
  • Write copy and manage F-35 social and digital content to ensure a consistent brand voice, message and conversation.
  • Collaborate with advertising and social/digital team members across Lockheed Martin’s Business Areas, Enterprise Operations, Government Affairs, International and PR agencies to build integrated marketing communications campaigns in support of key business priorities.
  • Research industry trends for effective storytelling on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram to drive best practices and innovation.
  • Identify, track and build relationships with online communities, advocates and influencers.
  • Schedule, distribute, amplify, monitor, listen and analyze social media engagement using third party software tools.
  • Partner with program and executive communicators to build, produce and execute the social media elements of executive engagement plans.
