The M&M’S Performance Marketing Manager is responsible for driving traffic and sales for the M&M’S digital business (mms.com) in the US. They will define growth opportunities (occasions, media, partnerships, etc.), and use a data-driven approach to maximize strategic decision-making for the performance of the channel.
This role will manage the paid media budget, including online performance-based marketing channels (e.g. search, social, display/retargeting, affiliate, podcasts, etc.), and more traditional offline marketing channels (e.g. PR/Influencer, print, direct mail) for our US digital business. This associate will also oversee the day-to-day partnerships with our media agencies and will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams. Lastly, this associate is responsible for regular communication on performance trends & results.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of a BA/BS in Marketing or Business Administration
- 5+ years of digital marketing experience at a similar level
- Hands-on experience with DTC acquisition marketing initiatives (Google, Meta/Facebook, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience managing large -scale annual media/acquisition budgets, including forecasting and budget allocations.
- Ability to develop marketing strategies and successful executions in a highly tactical and promotional environment, while remaining true to brand’s character and position
- Demonstrated success implementing, monitoring, measuring, and recommending course-correcting marketing initiatives.
- Experience working with, and overseeing, external media, PR, and marketing agencies.
- Ability to make business decisions using data and test-and-learn approach.
- Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Omniture/Adobe Analytics
- Creative thinker, with strong analytical skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Ensure execution of the marketing strategy and plan, including using data to make decisions and propose new tactics for business growth.
- Development of promotional strategies and management of promotional calendar and related activations for US Digital.
- Collaborate with US Digital leader and other global Digital team members for creative assets, promotions, customer service, supply chain, and business development.
- Regular monitor, analyze for trend, recommend improvements, and reporting of performance against marketing KPIs (current plan and prior year) for sales channels
- Serve as subject matter expert, maintaining awareness of best practices, industry trends, benchmarks, and competitive activity.
- Handle day-to-day management/accounting of marketing budget and accrual process.
- Contribute to annual marketing strategy and lead planning processes as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional team members to ensure shared goals, objectives and initiatives are realized while making decisions in line with the Five Principles
