What You Will Do
The position of Assistant Manager of Social Intelligence, Consumer Insights Creator will have the overall mission to gather, filter and socialize the most relevant and on-trend consumer insights (for Makeup at first), to help grow our brands’ agility to create more engaging social content faster, and move at the speed of culture.
Duties & Responsibilities
The position is responsible for leading all 4 following steps:
- identify consumer insights (with different experimental routes to be explored)
- translate them into creative content ideas & collabs
- work closely with internal or external content creators to develop the social media content (ie. in partnership with CDMO Brand Engagement, Le Care, etc.)
- measure & diagnose keys for success
What’s Expected Of You
- speed and agility in identifying new consumer insights never seen before
- creativity combined with strong business acumen to help develop content that is relevant, on-trend, and fit with our brands’ equity
- when working with external creators: speed and agility in identifying relevant, on-trend content creators, and ability to adapting to their profiles and needs in a personalized manner for a more authentic-looking content at the end
- high familiarity with the TikTok social platform, and best practices of the platform
- strong knowledge of our L’Oréal USA makeup brands’ equity
- ability to think strategically and strong business-acumen to diagnose keys for success, help scale this pilot and disseminate it to the organization, and transform brands’ ways of working for social media content
- become a trusted ally and team member for both internal and external partners
- The Manager will form close partnerships with: CDMO (including other CMI, Le Care, Brand Engagement, and Other CDMO members from Corporate and Divisions), Brand Marketing teams, and Digital/Content/Social/A&I teams in the Brands/Divisions, Global CDMO/CMI, Content Creators and Outside agencies
Education/Experience
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, in marketing preferably. MBA a plus
- 0-3 years of experience in marketing or digital
- high familiarity with the TikTok social platform, and strong expertise regarding best practices of the platform
- experience as a content creator a plus
- passion for the consumer, marketing insights, and innovation (new ideas)
- strong sensitivity and expertise of the beauty industry, its key players, key business opportunities, and strong knowledge of L’Oréal USA brands’ equity
- strong track record of relationship management, problem solving, and influencing
- key personal qualities: very creative, innovative, agile, fast, result-oriented, proactive, ‘make it happen’ attitude, team builder, strong listener/communicator (oral, written), flexible and adaptable (willing to look at things in new, unique ways), strong planner, organizer, and with demonstrated record of bringing a ‘strategy’ to life.
