Job Overview:The Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing oversees the development and execution of brand and communications strategies aimed at enhancing brand recognition and exposure for the company and its brands. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role plays a pivotal role in driving the overall marketing strategy, managing external communications, and shaping the company's positioning and messaging.

Responsibilities and Duties:Act as the external and media-facing brand spokesperson for Azazie, representing the company's voice and image to enhance brand recognition and drive sales.Lead and develop the brand marketing strategy, including influencer marketing, social media campaigns, and communications functions, to create cohesive and engaging marketing programs.Manage the brand's messaging and positioning, and ensure consistent messaging across all customer and prospect touch pointsOversee the content strategy that generates organic reach and engagement across all customer touch points including social media content and SEO programs.Oversee all company-wide public relations initiatives, ensuring effective management and coordination of PR activities.Develop top-of-the-funnel marketing campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and visibility.Manage the marketing team budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.Set SMART goals and KPIs for all direct reports, providing clear objectives and performance metrics for the team.Direct PR agencies and potential social media agencies, overseeing their activities and ensuring alignment with brand objectives.Craft PR pitch angles that are relevant to the current media landscape, leveraging industry trends and opportunities.Support product launches with strategic communication plans across PR and social media channels.Design PR strategies and propose feature stories and interviews in key publications to maximize Azazie's brand exposure, emphasizing the brand's commitment to size inclusivity, fashion, affordability, and innovation.Secure, negotiate, and establish strategic brand and licensing partnerships with celebrities and other brands to drive brand awareness and increase sales.Manage and foster relationships between licensors, brands, talent agents, stylists, and celebrity fans of the brand.Drive thought leadership initiatives around the brand's rich history, innovative products, processes, and partnerships, positioning Azazie as an industry leader.Define competitive positioning and ensure the brand aesthetics remain relevant and up to date.Maintain a succession plan for all positions within the department, ensuring continuity and talent development.Other duties as assignedQualifications:Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, PR or a related field15+ years of experience in social media, brand marketing, corporate communications and/or public relations, with significant experience in fast-paced, e-commerce companiesProven history with building relationship with editors and influencersPrior experience with Event Marketing10+ years management experienceStrong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate marketing strategies, plans, and results to senior executives and other stakeholders.Great decision-making skills and the ability to make difficult decisionsExperience in senior leadership roles driving forward a proactive marketing and communications agenda, ideally within the fashion or consumer goods sectors
