Chief Marketing Officer
APR is an established, dynamic production consulting company with a modern, global view of the advertising industry, advising marketers on how to best work with their creative agencies and production suppliers when producing video, photography, and events. We help our clients optimize their production processes, budgets, and outcomes while ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance. APR is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to join our Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) to work closely with the CEO and other executives to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan and impact strategy that aligns with the company’s vision, mission and values, and showcases our expertise, insights, and thought leadership to the industry.

Our ideal candidate will be expected to:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- Understand customer needs to successfully align initiatives for overall business success
- Define and execute the corporate strategic plan
- Assist in expanding to new customer segments and partnerships
- Strengthen community and marketing operations presence together with other members of the SLT
- Spearhead the company's messaging and building the company’s brand and its impact on the industry
- Create and nurture effective client communities that generate long-term client relationships leading to revenue retention and growth
- Collaborate with the Client Solutions leaders across the organization to capture and share case studies
- Contribute to the RFP and the pitch process, and review proposals, as well as provide input to pricing strategies, package solutions, and ensure timely reporting to the executive team and board (once the board is established)
Key Responsibilities
The Chief Marketing Officer’s key responsibilities will include the following:
- Define and articulate the impact vision and goals for APR, in alignment with our business strategy and objectives.
- Oversee development of marketing campaigns, that support APR’s initiatives, across multiple channels including digital, social media, email, events/conferences, and other relevant channels.
- Drive the strategy, execution, and engagement to leverage key programs and services
- Collaborate with Client Solutions leaders to build initiatives that leverage ways emerging technologies (such as AI, blockchain, and the metaverse) can create experiential marketing advancements for the advertising industry
- Build and disseminate high-quality assets, such as use cases, impact reports, and communications materials to demonstrate, evangelize and amplify new industry standards and capabilities.
- Lead and coordinate impact-related research, evaluation, learning, and innovation initiatives that inform our service delivery, quality improvement, and business development.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, industry associations, media outlets, and influencers, to promote our impact story and brand reputation.
- Represent APR at relevant events, forums, panels, and conferences as a speaker or participant on topics related to impact measurement and reporting.
- Provide guidance and support to the executive team and other staff on impact-related matters. (Trends, DEI, Sustainability, using AI, Block Chain tools, Metaverse, and whatever becomes relevant)
- This position leads the marketing department talent at APR and is responsible for the performance and hiring of the resources within that department.
- The position will manage internal staff positions and external contractors who support our global business, including but not limited to Marketing Manager, Communications Manager, & Director of Industry Relations
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in B2B marketing (pricing, packaging, subscription models), communications, consulting, or a similar role, preferably in the production, advertising, or media industry.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing impact measurement and reporting frameworks, tools, and systems, using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and information into clear and compelling narratives and visuals.
- Exceptional storytelling, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages and formats to different audiences and channels.
- Strong leadership, management, and collaboration skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others across the organization and beyond.
- High level of creativity, innovation, and curiosity, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and other relevant software and platforms, such as Salesforce, LinkedIn creator and Navigator.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

The role offers a competitive compensation package including base salary in the range of $225 - $250k, commensurate with experience.
