The Work You'll Do
Lots of companies have grown over the past couple of years, and Sovos is not the exception. We have been growing in revenue, headcount and geographically for many years. The conditions which are driving our growth are different from many others, though. The catalyst for our growth was never related to a pandemic, it is tax related. And tax isn’t going anywhere.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a strategic marketer to lead the global brand, content, and communications teams.
Content Strategy drives content success in alignment with the buyer journeys and personas, facilitating content efficiency through a centralized and coordinated methodology for content lifecycle management. He or she creates content strategy/content map best practices and playbooks and skilfully manages the adoption across divisions.
Brand is responsible for the overall brand strategy, ensuring the brand/message consistency and clarity alignment to various market segments. He or she works with the executive stakeholders to develop and execute effective brand and websites rationalization as well as drives the new acquisitions integration from the brand/website perspective using the standardised framework.
Communication is responsible for developing and leading the external communications strategy and execution across relevant digital channels. He or she supports executive leadership as a communications advisor and strategist, working directly with analyst/influencer and media relations agencies.
More Specifically You Will
Brand
- In collaboration with the key stakeholders, define/review the overall brand strategy and positioning ensuring alignment with the key market segments.
- Use the brand positioning to define a visual identity and tone of voice for the company.
- Create and maintain a set of brand guidelines, standard visual templates ensuring that they are easily accessible and adhered to by the whole business.
- Define and execute innovative brand seeding campaigns including Influencer & Customer Advocacy programs to reach wider TAM ensuring alignment with regional lead gen activities.
- Ensure brand consistency in clarity in all lead generation campaign touchpoints.
- Develop and align all stakeholders to comply with the M&A Brand/Website Integration Framework.
Content
- Create comprehensive, group visibility for the strategy, people, processes, technology and measurement that contribute to improved content lifecycle management.
- Conduct periodic content audits for all websites, customer portals, and all content assets (repeated annually).
- Perform gap analyses on how the content inventory maps to internal and external audiences, along with their specific journey requirements and drive the content strategy improvements based on the outcomes.
- Manage centralized editorial calendar and staff to support content visibility, transparency, production, brand governance and regulatory compliance.
- Implement methodology for calculating, tracking, and analyzing content investment.
- Evangelize and educate relevant teams on content strategy best practices.
- Oversee content measurement and key performance indicators (KPIs), including the design and operation of relevant, synthesized dashboards and reports.
- Co-own and co-manage requirements definition, selection, and implementation of content-related technologies.
- Ensure that our products and services are represented in the most engaging way on the website and that the content is optimized for both SEO and conversion.
Communications
- Develop coordinated, group-wide corporate communications strategy.
- Oversee communications measurement, including the design and operation of relevant dashboards and reports i.e. Reputation Index
- Work with digital team to develop corporate social media strategy and governance.
- Oversee the selection of agencies and effectively manage these relationships, if relevant
- Lead public relations and act as centralized resource for product/divisional functions.
- Define and coordinate a Sovos Influencer Program across both traditional and social media channels and integrate their activities into the lead generation programs.
- Identify key digital channels for prospect engagement and content syndication.
- Implement protocols and best practices in anticipation of crisis management.
- Implement key communications policies, protocols, and guidelines.
What We Need From You
- Successful work history in the B2B software marketing space, with some years in management roles motivating and leadings teams. Global experience with diverse and distributed teams is a plus.
- Proven experience in leading change and building consensus in a highly matrixed organizational structure.
- Excellent communicator, collaborator, and presenter
- Ability to organize, analyze and report on data from multiple systems.
- Strong written and strategic communications skills
- Digital publishing, content strategy and/or enterprise content management
- Internal communications
- Hand-on PR and Influencer relationship management experience
- Messaging and positioning

- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug screen upon hire
