Position Summary
Join Kimpton’s internal commercial agency as a member of its communications department. Support public relations and communications strategies and tactics that maximize the impact of the story of Kimpton Hotels, Restaurants & Bars with influencer partnerships and content creation campaigns on an international, national, regional and local level. Serve as a bridge to bring brand campaigns to life in the field and trend-leading field examples to the brand.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support the Kimpton Tiered Services public relations (KTS PR) and KTS social media teams in the tactical execution of the KTS programs for select Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants across the Americas.
- Manage department resources, including but not limited to influencer agreements and photos, databases, reports and internal distribution lists.
- Work closely with Kimpton communications and social media teams as well as property teams to plan, book and manage hosted influencer partnerships
- Vet incoming influencer partnerships and influencer platforms to ensure opportunities align on brand standards, content quality and segment focus.
- Facilitate image uploading and asset management for contracted influencer partnerships.
- Implement influencer and creator initiatives that will generate follower growth, positive sentiment and engagement for property social media accounts.
- Assist with regular and project analytics and reports for properties utilizing influencer marketing tools such as Klear and Sprout Social.
- Support KTS PR + social media priority accounts with responsibilities such as meeting agendas, internal recaps, monthly reports, creative ideation and integrated campaign management.
- Prepare and distribute the KTS social media weekly social media memo, three pieces of timely social content to be used across the entire KTS social media portfolio.
- Establish and maintain productive professional relationships with influencers and creators including those in key local, regional, and national markets. Pursue best practices regarding influencer networking and relationship development as well as cultivation of new contacts.
- Work cross-functionally with other communications and marketing team members, including property teams.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Qualified candidates will have at least two years of experience, ideally working in a public relations or social media agency or as an in-house publicist and practicing in the hospitality industry.
- A Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field
- Stellar verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a geographically dispersed team as a member of the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Tiered Services - Communications team, reporting to the Senior Director of Communications
- Results-oriented, self-motivated, creative and possessing a sense of humor
- Expertise in juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to diplomatically prioritize requests
- Agility and creative intellect, entrepreneurial, pragmatic and flexible in nature
- Ability and willingness to follow established processes and procedures, and also work fluidly in situations where standard operating procedures do not exist
- Proactive and resourceful problem solving capabilities
- Passion for influencer marketing and a deep interest in social media platforms and trends
- Experience with influencer marketing and influencer contract negotiation
- Fluency in social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and emerging outlets
- Willingness to travel
