What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Social Media Associate to join our team at Danessa Myricks Beauty. As a Social Media Associate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand's online presence, driving engagement, and maximizing our social media impact. This role sits within the marketing department and reports to the Director, Digital Marketing & Social Media. This person must have social media experience and a proven track record of helping to grow owned social engagement. This person must have an insatiable curiosity, appreciation, respect and knowledge of the beauty social community.

Responsibilities Include

Social Media Strategy and Management:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to achieve brand objectives, increase reach, and drive audience growth across various platforms.
  • Manage and optimize our social media accounts, ensuring consistent branding, high-quality content, and engaging user experiences.
  • Utilize social media management tools and analytics to monitor performance, track KPIs, and generate data-driven insights for continuous improvement.

Content Creation And Curation

  • Create captivating and visually stunning content for different social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce compelling graphics, videos, and other multimedia assets that align with brand guidelines and resonate with our target audience.
  • Implement content curation strategies to enhance user-generated content, collaborations, and influencer partnerships.

Community Engagement

  • Foster and nurture relationships with our online community, engaging in meaningful interactions.
  • Help create a process for responding to comments, and addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.

Trend Analysis And Innovation

  • Stay abreast of the latest social media trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for engagement and brand visibility.
  • Research and analyze competitors and industry trends to identify best practices and innovative strategies for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education in digital marketing, communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the beauty or fashion industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing social media strategies that drive audience growth, engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Exceptional creativity and an eye for detail, with the ability to craft visually appealing and compelling content.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and graphic design software.
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and best practices across various platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging copy and interact effectively with the online community.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform strategy and optimize performance.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Passion for the beauty industry, a deep understanding of the target audience, and a keen interest in emerging beauty trends.
  • Strong worth ethic and eagerness to work minimal weekends and evenings as needed to serve an always-on passionate brand social community.
